Held up well today.

This is holding up extremely well.

I keep looking and looking thinking it may well drop to below 1190, but despite all the negatives across all the other travel stocks this is not dropping..........that's a great sign, just unfortunate that my bulk is out currently.!

The answer is easy....

I believed, without looking or checking anything, that this would drop further...

It did it's usual hover in the morning, and I was going to hospital for some blood tests and thought I was going to be c clever idiot by selling and buying back in and get a few more free shares....

That backfired....obviously.!

I didn't only get a kicking with CCL yesterday, I increased by TUI shares on Thursday.!!!!!! and it very kindly dropped 5% before slightly recovering to only 2.4% down .......

Feeling a little bit bruised this morning.!!!!

Of course, when I say I have sold out, I'm still holding 7,500 shares, I just sold the main pots which were 60,000 shares....

So I lost out on a 35p jump, or £21k missed increase.

As I've always said, my timing stinks when I try to "day trade", I watched it drop from 1350 all the way down to 1175 and then sold..... I'm such a clever person.!

UK Closed at $17.41. It's currently $17.27, so 14c or 10p drop after out close.

Genedrive may well come good in the end, but it would be a complete punt.

I have £5k's worth at 8p.

This would be the third time I've bought and sold them since my initial luck.

If you want a ridiculous punt, then have a go. They may go bust, so only invest what you are 100% happy to lose, but they do have a habit of jumping 2x 3x 4x quickly, and that's when Ive re-sold out and bought back in when they hit 9p ish/8p ish.

Never put all your eggs in one basket and hindsight is a great thing.

I remember someone saying that they re-mortgaged and bought Mccolls shares when they dropped, because they were a $1bn business and would never go into administration........well, they did.

If only we had bought Apple in the 90's, or Bitcoin when it was released etc. etc. etc.

I can tell you exactly why the price jumped.

I watched the price fall from over £13 down to 1175.

I sold at 1175, and it stopped there.

I bought back in at 1176

I sold 60k shares at 9am this morning for 1190.

Now I've sold the majority, the price has to jump through the roof.....

Just holding 7,500 shares, and wondering when would be the right time to jump back in.

So if we managed to get back to the hey days of 2017 vs today, it's $20.49bn vs $47.59bn, or a Price increase from $16.85 to $39.14, or approx. £27.66

So another 16c, or 11.5p drop in the morning.

There's a correction. Then there's a tanking, and then there's a bloodbath..........and this now falls into the well overdone bloodbath camp.

All signs show it's going to drop further.

The US is in Red.

But I missed my chance of a "day trade" pre-Christmas when it hit 1377.

23.5p drop like for like in the morning.

Apparently this is "normal" after the New Year, but I don't remember it like that.

I looked back at first trading day 2023, and CCL went up by over 5% per google charts.......

Who knows.!

It's ironic really. Friday morning I was saying to the boss, maybe I should move some shares out of CCL noting I've slowly been increasing again to a ridiculous amount again.........but oh no...... I said, I will wait until Tuesday.........

Then it started going up, and I thought, well, maybe I'd better leave it for a bit..........then the US opened, and within 2 hours the rollercoaster downhill happened without any curves in the track whatsoever.........

Oh well......... live another day.........

Looks like a wipe out across all cruise lines, but just for a change, CCL is the lowest loser currently 6.53% down in the US.

At the moment, that's another 31c or 22p ish from our close to lose when we open.

Or.... a £1 tank from our opening raise today............quite incredible really.........

So a further drop from our close of 8c, approx. 6p.
