Yep.

I'm looking at TUI.

I only have 1,000 shares at the moment of TUI, which obviously is not exactly my normal size of a holding, and I'm wondering whether to dump a few hundred thousand IAG into TUI instead.

I'm up with IAG, and looking for the next 20%.!

Unfortunately looking back, as I did this morning, if I had held my original RR holdings until today, I would be a gazillionaire now, but I think I did the right thing and spread the risk. Glad it all turned good with RR though, it's overdue, and there, on paper, is still a long way to go......but we said that in Sept 2021.! when it was 161.! and believing it was going to be 250 by Christmas.!

Finally RR has come good ish. I still have a holding, but I did do the sensible things and move loads out previously at a gain, but not to the extent I would have made if I had left it all in.!

but I've done well with my monies in CCL and IAG to compensate.

I'm guessing that although the dilution tanked the SP, the "in theory" pay down of the debt, and therefore savings on interest payments should "in theory" again help the bottom line profit numbers, and therefore flow to EBIT.

We all know the "feelings" in the market drive many of the SPs, but the underlining numbers if really good over-ride that, unless of course, in Jet2's case the founder stands down and everyone panics.!

I've been in and out of TUI, but haven't been back in, in 2023 because I got tied up in IAG big time, and got caught out.

As I haven't followed TUI close enough, I wanted a rough idea of if the sentiment was that TUI was going to break the numbers or not.

Looking at the analysts consensus of the SP though now, TUI is way down from the mid consensus, and you would have thought that with summer here, that the SP would, by default, have risen, but again, obviously not.!

Any other titbits are appreciated.

Every single gap is already filled. We've already been past this on the way up, and past it twice on the way down.

Every single number between here and 230 has been hit and held at least twice.

IAG paid down $3bn in debt. Smashed the consensus profit line, and have already booked 80% of Q3 seats........and it's gone up 2.5%......!!!!!

I suppose I should be grateful that it's not gone down...........yet.........

They didn't mention it because they had already stated that they were going to be at the top end already.

Unless the expectation was that they were going to re-raise it, which of course the analysts may well harp on about and tank this.

Don't care about dividends.

The focus should always be on reducing debt to pre covid levels.

If dividends are paid, then additional 50% needs to go into pension fund as well, so not beneficial use of cash in hand at all.

Pay down debt.

Why we are keeping near record cash on hand makes no sense, we should use that to pay down variable debt and reduce the interest costs.....unless they are getting more interest from the cash than they are from the cost of the debt of course.!

And the debt is now less than $2bn more than it was pre covid.

Paying down $3bn in a year from last year, currently keeping more cash than pre covid on hand, the only negative is the top line revenue is lower than consensus, but profit has smashed it.

So....... It will probably drop 10% then.!

So 44c drop since our close, or a 30p dive this morning.
