RE: BLR. Is oil expensive...!?9 Jul 2009 11:24
Hi Ged, I'm sure I must be getting my sums wrong given the current market capital of MMS.
As we know they reduced operations to fluorite only until both the price of lead/zinc increases along with a partner to fund the mining is found.
I have only just looked at costs of fluorite per tonne. In their March report the jorc compliant statement said they had 4.76million tons of mineral with 7.69% of fluorite which gives 366,044 tonnes, current prices around $350 tonne giving resources of $128,115,400 ,which is around £79.9million.
Now I don't know how much mining costs are or how long it takes to mine such quantities but surely I've made a huge mistake somewhere with my arithmetic?
Any correction appreciated.
