I certainly feel reassured to know the reason for the drift. I am not a holder at the moment but waiting also for it to level to come in again. I had concerns as I didn't know the reason for the lack of market reaction to the deal in terms of share price. I have only today read the minesite article which puts more clarification to the story. Well it is fair to say that those 100,000 sells have dented the sp. I could have sold my holding 10 minutes ago at 1.77 and I can now buy at 1.68.

I've not bought any but tested both buys and sells. Can buy up to 100,000 online at 1.9. My sell quantity tested was lower but they would take them all at 1.77.

Am I correct in thinking that the market hasn't reacted more to this news of a bid due to the fact that any deal would not be concluded till the second quarter of 2010? Everyone in a hurry to release profits quickly.

Hi Ged, I'm sure I must be getting my sums wrong given the current market capital of MMS. As we know they reduced operations to fluorite only until both the price of lead/zinc increases along with a partner to fund the mining is found. I have only just looked at costs of fluorite per tonne. In their March report the jorc compliant statement said they had 4.76million tons of mineral with 7.69% of fluorite which gives 366,044 tonnes, current prices around $350 tonne giving resources of $128,115,400 ,which is around £79.9million. Now I don't know how much mining costs are or how long it takes to mine such quantities but surely I've made a huge mistake somewhere with my arithmetic? Any correction appreciated.

It is nice to see a little bit of movement in sp but it is only recovering from the falls of last week and beyond. I may start to get excited if we see it get nearer to 3p. This has always been a share to move on low volume due to the amount of shares in circulation. Can anyone point me in the right direction for current fluorite prices per tonne. I have them varied from $230 to $400 t from 2007 to 2008, I have sourced 2008 articles stating the bottom price should not be realised again but I am after a current price?

Sorry I have just seen your comment. Okay so we both missed out on the maximum 45p bid but just look where the sp is today. I have went back in over the last 2 days, not sure what will happen with the sp under the dilution but at least we know who Daintree are. Certainly be interesting to see how this plays.

The price has been walked down since last week. We had a sell for 3.5million shares last friday, that has only just been cleared today with buys. We are still down on last week. I wouldn't get excited just yet.

LOL. Me too, and I was wondering why I had posted on premium RBS this morning and couldn't see it. I should really waken up.

I used to play RBS several times a week in the last trading range, hadn't really touched it lately as I lost touch with the new range after the price tick up. It used to be a nice little earner so I will most definately get it back on my watchlist.

I note from your last comment this could be a next target of yours. Any comments as ever appreciated. Todays tree shake shook me out near the bottom, looking for a re entry. I think if the bid talks are unsuccesful this could fall to low 60's.
