KIS - I need to go out later on today. You will look after these and not let them fall again. lol.
I agree with Bullers' comment and felt that 36p was a good place to buy. I have bought some, not as a trade but as a longer term investment. Hopefully one I can tuck away for a couple of years or so and come back to. I have been reviewing my investment strategy to get things in place for a more sedate time. Hopefully take it easy and my investments will take care of themselves. So, how do I get RBS off filter now. LOL. Can't seem to work it out.
Hi Tom, I am hoping the sp has leveled out here now. Got some myself today @67p. I've bee making a pigs ear of my trades today, my baby is teething and has been moaning all day and I made the mistake of trying to trade when my head was sore. Not a good idea and not something I'll repeat. Getting some SLV was a silver lining.
Currently at 85p take over price based on the current Ruukki sp. Any thoughts on that drifting down?
I'm sure we spoke briefly if my memory serves me right, over on Wigs thread. I don't know if you've ever read any of my blogs, I'm a small time investor (well small time to most but not to me), I also got caught out last year, down to a lot of things, the markets in general and the fact I was new to investing. Managed to trade my way back to something that closely comes to break even. I wish you every bit of luck in getting back to your break even.
Yes, I know, it's now at where I bought in last time and I was looking for around that price or lower. Just need to sell something to free up funds. Infact, I need to sell most things to free up funds so I am just looking for a handful of choice investments to see me through longer term.
Nice one. I recall that like most you were hit hard last year. It's good to see you've got some good news. A.T.B.
LOL. Yes, Mil-Guy, aren't you clever with your pronounciations. A question for some of the more knowledgable, what are the implications re. this conroast technology and the restrictiveness of the PGM production til 2020. Can someone spell it out to me please?
Thanks for that. 1.78 closing it is. So we are having a drift down on the base of the current Ruukki sp. Will certainly be worth watching both. I shall add to my watchlist. Good point about Asda, I live in between 2, one in Clydebank which is probably one of the poorest areas in the Glasgow area and the other which is Milingavie which is one of the most affluent. They are like night and day, you would hardly know they are the same company.
Now, the current Ruukki sp is 13.54 euros (is there no euro symbol on this keyboard). At a current 1.8 conversion for the bid is that not giving us a 64p sp for SLV? Has Ruuki been dropping off since the deal? Am I correct with this arithmetic? All thoughts welcome.
I had such a stressful time shopping at Asda today that I came home and had 2 glasses of wine before dinner. My lovely independant toddler has decided to become a handful and this was after her agreeing to help mum and be good, that lasted for 5 minutes.
So is there any room for an xbox360 widow?
Thanks for the reply. I know that they have said that they are looking for a partner and require a lot of funding but that shareholders should be aware that these things can take a while. I'm afraid the day of 'that' rns was the day my son was born so I was a little pre occupied when the sp was falling. My only hope is that Passin is on the board.
I certainly feel reassured to know the reason for the drift. I am not a holder at the moment but waiting also for it to level to come in again. I had concerns as I didn't know the reason for the lack of market reaction to the deal in terms of share price. I have only today read the minesite article which puts more clarification to the story. Hopefully I will see my chance again with this in the future. For what it's worth I totally agree that we are not in a 'green shoots' recovery yet. The fact that since mid May I have felt like I have been trudging through mud in the stock markets tell me that.
Well it is fair to say that those 100,000 sells have dented the sp. I could have sold my holding 10 minutes ago at 1.77 and I can now buy at 1.68.
I've not bought any but tested both buys and sells. Can buy up to 100,000 online at 1.9. My sell quantity tested was lower but they would take them all at 1.77.
Am I correct in thinking that the market hasn't reacted more to this news of a bid due to the fact that any deal would not be concluded till the second quarter of 2010? Everyone in a hurry to release profits quickly.
Hi Ged, I'm sure I must be getting my sums wrong given the current market capital of MMS. As we know they reduced operations to fluorite only until both the price of lead/zinc increases along with a partner to fund the mining is found. I have only just looked at costs of fluorite per tonne. In their March report the jorc compliant statement said they had 4.76million tons of mineral with 7.69% of fluorite which gives 366,044 tonnes, current prices around $350 tonne giving resources of $128,115,400 ,which is around £79.9million. Now I don't know how much mining costs are or how long it takes to mine such quantities but surely I've made a huge mistake somewhere with my arithmetic? Any correction appreciated.
Thanks, I got side tracked there on minesite, should have probably registered ages ago. Good site. Still can't find current fluorite prices though.
It is nice to see a little bit of movement in sp but it is only recovering from the falls of last week and beyond. I may start to get excited if we see it get nearer to 3p. This has always been a share to move on low volume due to the amount of shares in circulation. Can anyone point me in the right direction for current fluorite prices per tonne. I have them varied from $230 to $400 t from 2007 to 2008, I have sourced 2008 articles stating the bottom price should not be realised again but I am after a current price?
