I agree these numbers look Conservative.
In the first half last year we did about £80,000 from around 30 myers stores and DTC. We were overwhelmed by the Christmas trade and sold out of gift packs well in advance of Christmas.
Subsequently we gained a massive increase in store numbers to about 600,but the majority post April. We did £120,000 in the second half.
Charles and Lee is imo seasonal with both Australian fathers day and Christmas falling in the first half. With the massive increase in store numbers and the fact we've learnt from last year and have more stock in place pre-Christmas I expect a significant uplift this half.
We have over £100,000 of stock in place at cost. You don't have that much stock if you're only expecting £400,000 for the year imo.
The way I see it is that two years ago they massively underdelivered. Last year they just about got the numbers by the skin of their teeth. I'm guessing they're being extremely cautious now in the hope (and probably internal expectation) that they can overdeliver this year.
