Callisto the other point is reducing tariffs massively help consumers. In life you want much in goods for as little in return as possible. Therefore ppl should not get too het up about trade deficits as really a deficit is an exchange of goodd for a loads of bits of paper. The approach of reducing tariffs however puts the EU on the back foot as their inefficient producers will feel the pinch as we go elsewhere for goods and will show the EUmperor has no clothes.
