I mean't good luck to short people too, I didn't want to appear to be sizest. Lindon it looks like some froth is back on but I expect the mm's to bounce this up and down until we get news of a oem we all want that will confirm Xsense is to be the success it has been proposed to be.
Dividend- as stated in todays RNS is paid in sterling at 1.11 pence a share and will be paid on the 25th of November to those holding from the 13th of November.
This has been tipped this afternoon in naked traders Robbie Burns. This is courtesy of greenroom78 on ADFN This is what the naked trader has to say... "One that came up at the seminar and appears to have value is Avation (AVAP) and I bought 5,000 at 106 then they went up quite a bit to 120 but they went down 10p this morning so took advantage of that weird drop using the two timing techniques I taught some of you at the seminar and I bought another 3,000 at 108.75 today. It leases planes - the last set of results were pretty impressive and I think these shares are set for take off. It now has 23 planes in its fleet, revenues are going up, as are dividends. The shares are gradually going up and still look good value. At the moment my thoughts are to keep them for a while perhaps targetting around 175p. "
Yes pomander I agree, I've been watching this one for a while waiting for a pull back, they've got a very decent looking portfolio with plenty of upside. As a result I've just dipped a toe in! good luck
All very valid points Lindon and you are right there is already a certain amount cit success baked into the share price BUT if LG for example were to be mentioned in a RNS in the very near future you could easily add a £1 onto the current share price and in a short amount of time too, which would boost confidence in the product sustantially There will always be new technology banging on the door but look how long its took to get cit off the ground so i'd like to think there will be plenty of opportunities for carclo to profit. We'll have to wait and see
With the Cambridge and now Colorado facilities now validated and atmel stating that Colorado is now shipping exsense to MULTIPLE customers and ramping up production each quarter it would suggest that they have new PO's already on board. The change in ATML language I would imagine is more down to the delay in validation and the rescheduling (not cancelling)of a LARGE client, more oem's will be known as products are launched and as Xmas nears I would hope to see RNS's soon stating such. Its a relatively new technology so customers have to make sure its right before launch their reputation depends on it but with it being lighter, thinner and cheaper than similar sensor technology's (oh and flexible) its got winner written all over it surely. Carclo too are a diversified company admittedly most eyes are on CIT and xsense. Good luck all holders short or long.
Isn't it ironic that atmels share price is up over 11% on the back of the earnings conference which was mainly about pushing xsense and future growth and earnings around it and yet carclo's share price is 4% down although even the bottom end of sales estimates will significantly transform carclo. Although near term revenue will be lower than expectations, customer interest and design activity continues to be very strong and we are on-track to bring on new capacity that will support over $100 million of XSense revenue in 2014. We are very optimistic on the strong growth prospects for XSense." XSense can enable our customers to achieve touch panel stacks that are thinner, lighter, and cheaper as compared to other sensor technologies. "Our XSense product is in volume production and customer design activity is high. The touch sensor market represents an enormous opportunity for Atmel and we expect substantial growth in our XSense business in 2014 and beyond." The increasing ramp up in volume production alongside additional technological advances and Atmel's confidence in the XSense(TM) business provides further assurance over the success of Conductive Inkjet Technology's ("CIT's") Fine Line Technology business. Due to the reduced schedules for a specific customer as confirmed by Atmel above we are anticipating that our forecast of CIT revenues for the financial year ended 31 March 2014 will be towards the lower end of our range of GBP4 - 7 million. Growth prospects for future financial years remain substantial these were a few of my favourite bits. i'm going to have to buy some more tomorrow!!!!!
We have the capacity that is fully validated to supply a multitude of customers, and atmel have said they are there, they've not gone away! And remember xsense is much more than phones and tablets, think dashboards, watches, house hold gadgets, LG have stated they're going flexible its the future, Carclo have already raked in £1.4 mil mainly from xsense in the first half, there is no bad news today only no mention of the teir 1 oem but there soon will be'
Lindon quite a few curved screen phones due to be released in October and November including the Samsung galaxy note 3 and I notice today of the LG Z that is romoured to be released as early as next week, Curved screens appear to be the all the rage and the next must haves. Any thoughts on these new releases and in particular the LG Z with the news being relatively close to carclo's trading update?
I agree lindon, when is there ever a good time for a director to sell SOME of his options without it being criticised? If the price was rock bottom it would say things are going to get worse if it was on the back of good news it would suggest the news was not so good afte all, so maybe it WAS the right time for carclo and him personally. Has you point out his salary is not massive by directors standards and he has only sold a little over a fifth.i News is due soon and i added a few today at 373ish and expect good news is coming.
"XSense qualified for volume production in our Colorado facility" "Additionally, our XSense" product has achieved production qualification in our Colorado facility and we are now positioned to ramp volume production for this revolutionary new technology," said Steve Laub, Atmel's President and Chief Executive Officer."
back in the blue and great potential here
hope your right lindon,pi's soon get bored and move on without regular updates via rns's and i feel this is what is happening now, however carclo have delivered in the past and am confident good news is iminent and the sp can move northwards with it.
I know the CAR share price of late swings on the cit technology however CAR has many more strings to its bow and these are usually overlooked, £3.49 is probably a fair price without xsense in my opinion there can't be much downside at this price. CAR have invested a substantial amount of money in its fields of expertise and in the current climate that speaks volumes
Because of the number of shares in issue car has always been a very volatile share which results in very large price swings on news or lack of news however this makes it a very attractive trading share. the price has dropped in the past due to the atmel payment uncertainty then again when it was late being paid and here we are again more uncertainties and the price is dropping but car have always delivered even if it has been late coming.
