buy them in the isa account, just like you would a nominee.
some isa's allow you to hold aim shares, Lloyds does as that's where I have mine but have heard on other boards that hsbc do not allow aim shares just yet.
The increase was due to deferred tax according to the WHI note but they leave the tax rate for the year at 17%.They moved to Singapore to get low tax rates so I think it will revert lower than 22%.
what is the reason for the increase in tax charge in last 6 moths of year from 14% to 22%?
Once the act comes together jolly, aquisitions annd profits it should have a happy ending its just taking some getting into. haha
looking promising 1400
What was today all about Lindon? 6.5% drop on nothing at all, Bought 1000 at 255.81 late on, I couldn't help myself. buy, hold and sell high!!! Without sounding like a broken record news is due soon, read the RNS's its coming, you don't invest in 2 new plants and technology for nowt!!!
that and a big positive write up in small company share watch mag over weekend. lol
Avation fying high again possibly due to some press coverage in the MOS. Richly deserved though, The business leases planes to airlines and it is growing fast by acquiring new planes and building up its customer base. Founded just seven years ago, Avation’s first client was Virgin Australia and it still leases most of its aircraft to that airline. However, Thomas Cook has become a customer and other airlines are following suit. Avation is already leasing 24 aircraft and is expected to double its fleet over the next few years. Declaring its figures in dollars because that is the currency of the aircraft industry, Avation made $12million (£7.3million) in the year to June and is expected to increase profits by more than 50 per cent to $19million in the current year, rising to $23million in 2015. Dividends are low as the group expands its fleet but payouts should become considerably more generous later this decade. Avation is unlikely to double in value again over the coming year. However, the share price should continue to rise at a steady pace, making the stock a good hold.
"The touch response is instantaneous and much faster than my iPad. The virtual keyboard is better than the iPad - and it even produces a typing noise if desired. The screen is very clear:" these are qualities which manufacturers want, and are very good news for Carclo, particularly as the price is competitive. ( taken from Chip Scashtin interactive investor)
Its the fear factor that car/atml have are actually not going to attract any major tier 1 oem's for xsense, most pi's have no patience and if the news they want to hear is not coming at them week in week out they soon lose interest and sell at a loss and move on. I believe that in the new year when old tablets etc are sold off in the sales we ought to get some news on the promised tier 1 oem's tablets, gadgets and gizmos. I find it hard to believe that both carclo and atmel have invested time and money on new plants in Cambridge and colarado to then discover that it doesn't work or nobody's interested in it, As we all Know we hate uncertainty but the mm's love it so until car/atmel release the news we all crave then the mm's will play on peoples fears. I hold and will continue to hold the rest of cars business is doing quite well and as the uk comes out of recession should do better, We all know that even limited success will transform car so imagine multiple tier 1 oem's !!!!!! be patient and hang on in here and we should be rewarded.
I am too rob, I really like this one so I bought some more today.(the 1.17's are buys by the way) the world is coming out of recession, more airports are being built for more planes for more routes. yes avation should do very well indeed.
yes good volume and a finish above 42 could possibly been seen as a positive considering being 5% down early this morning and hopefully shows it has support around this level. Was thinking about what you said about my original reasons for buying and if Mr Hawkins does make some astute buys and manages to increase turnover by £80 mill annually like he has said then 42p appears cheap whichever market its traded on and we should see it in excess of 60p surely by this time next year, they've also got the world cup and the Olympics in Brazil to aid those profits so its very possible as I see it.
fourteenhundred, whats your thoughts regarding the proposed move to aim? are you still holding? i'm a holder and am currently underwater but find myself wanting to hold and even add its just trying to time it right. I know from reading your posts you've been here a while so would appreciate any comments you may have. thanks in advance
Dipped a toe back in rightly or wrongly at 295, core business doing good, UK supposedly coming out of recession and CIT only needing limited success to make a big difference to carclo, there's got to be more upside than downside surely at this sort of price? anyway fingers crossed
More airports being built, increased routes = increased profits
The shares of RSA Insurance (LSE: RSA.L - news) slumped 18p, or 15%, to 103p during early trade this morning after the FTSE 100 member said "issues" within its Irish subsidiary would mean its 2013 operating profits would be £70m below current market expectations. RSA reported a £684m operating profit during 2012 and City brokers had been expecting a figure in excess of £600m for this year. This would suggest that the irish operations only account for 4% of RSA's profits
Simon Lee, the chief executive of RSA, said: "We are extremely disappointed with the issues which have been identified and their financial impact on the Group. Whilst the investigation is ongoing, I am confident that these issues are isolated to the Irish business. No policyholders have been affected and all our Irish businesses continue to operate as normal." "Whilst these issues are serious, they do not have a material, long-term impact on the Group. Our capital position remains robust and we remain committed to our dividend policy which is aligned with market expectations for the full year final 2013 dividend." RSA's trailing dividend is 6.18p per share, with brokers up until last week predicting a 6.28p per share payout for 2013. Those projections currently place the shares on a possible income of 6%.
Yes Lindon the SP is counting in at least one big PO as you suggest, I am rather disappointed we have not had more positive news ,especially with the xmas buying season now in full swing. It would appear that sales will be towards the lower end of carclos estimates which would still be very good for carclo but maybe until several large PO's get on board will not make xsense the cash cow we had all hoped. I have no doubt there will be broker downgrades that may effect the SP and as a result I decided to reduce my holdings this week to a more comfortable level but may buy back if the mm's take this down to the summers 320's. I also think your stop of 340 may be tested very soon. GL all short people and tall people.
