I was more interested in the court case side and netflix but have seen a lot of chat on the u.s listing so thought I would chuck a bit in.

I'm not expecting much back , the majority of what I'm after would be price sensitive info.
I however wanted to send something to see if I got a responce , the silence last time ****ed me off a little. Even if my tone on last email was a little negative.

I would fully expect a ftse 250/350 company to be making provisions on a worst case scenario, bit would be nice to hear it fro the horses mouth. Might even **** a few trolls up here if we got something back from them

I was hoping I could take up some of your time , my last email was ignored and I'm hoping I get a responce from the querys I currently have.

I have been a investor in cineworld for nearly 2 years, and its fair to say its certainly had its ups and many downs due to the impact of covid. I see continued progress and while I currently sit on substantial loses I'm still energised to continue with my investment especially after all the hurdles we have had to come by.

My query is this , while I'm happy with the current way the buissness is progressing I do feel our current court case appeal is a major issue for us. If we win our appeal then all well and good, but if we lose and judgement is upheld we clearly don't have the cash to just pay this as evidenced by the latest financial report.

Can I ask what provisions are being put in place should we lose the appeal.
Where do cineworld expect the money to come from? Diliution , loans etc, Is the finance in place in case such a event happens,
Will the judgement have to be paid in one hit?and are cineworld talking to cineplex about a possible out of court settlement to reduce any possible full settlement being paid.

I guess I'm after clarity that mooky and the board are not putting all their eggs in one basket and hoping for a appeal win, and are actually planning for a worst case.

Moving away from the court case mooky Said last year he would be happy to show netflix films in our studios , given the history between netflix and cineworld it was a statement that caught my eye , and one that I feel benefits both companys , has there been any movement on this since that statement.

And lastly a possible look at a u.s listing was also mentioned by mooky , of course there are hurdles to cross for this to happen , is this also something that mooky is actively pursuing or was it just a thinking out loud comment due to the i believe overreaction in our s.p at the time.

Can inask what it is that makes you feel share dilution is now a real possibility then what it was say a week month of few kinds ago.

Ktp I echo what Hexham says , I also feel thay if we were to lose our appeal and worse case scenario have to pay 1.2b or whatever the extremely large number is , I'm sure arrangements will be made to lay say in instalments.

After all you can't get blood out of a Stone.

If we do have to pay instantly then things may get a bit problematic.

Iparsnip if it jumped to 45 would you have sold , how about 50p 55p , I'm pretty sure most of our average price is still far away jefore we even talk about exit prices.

My point I'm trying to make is let's not be too concerned on a day's movement when we are all here for a while yet.
We know where we are financially , we know what hurdles have to be jumped , yet today just confirmed more progress has been made but not the finished article yet .

Hopefully next few months will see some great reported revenue from the upcoming films.
Russia come to some kind of deal with Ukraine and stop killing people and withdraw.

With today's financials going as expected its now time to start getting some profit in.
As you say the only major hurdle we have left is cineplex , once resolved we can then fully focus on the debt

Alliance News) - Stock prices in London are seen opening higher on Thursday, tracking a rally in US and Asian equity markets, after the Federal Reserve, as expected, raised interest rates from historic lows.

In early company news, movie theatre operator Cineworld hailed its recovery prospects with audiences set to return to cinemas this year. Food delivery firm Deliveroo expects to become profitable in the near future. Transport firm National Express said it is a better suitor for Stagecoach than rival DWS.

IG futures indicate the FTSE 100 index will open 13.32 points higher at 7,305.00. The index closed up 115.98 points, or 1.6%, at 7,291.68 on Wednesday.

Cineworld said it delivered a resilient performance in challenging market conditions and that it was in a good position to benefit from the expected industry recovery.

The world's second largest cinema chain, behind US-based AMC, noted its results for 2021 include a period of temporary closures from January to April-May due to Covid-19 restrictions and a limited film slate.

Revenue more than doubled to USD1.80 billion in 2021 from USD852.3 million in 2020, and the company's pretax loss narrowed sharply to USD708.3 million from 2020's massive USD3.0 billion.

Turning to returns, Cineworld said dividends remain suspended as it continues to prioritise liquidity preservation during its recovery from the pandemic.

Looking ahead, Cineworld pointed to a gradual recovery of admissions and demand since re-opening, supported by strong retail sales and premium formats.

January and February of this year were hurt by Omicron and the lack of major movie releases, but Cineworld anticipates strong trading starting in March, with the new Batman release and supported by a strong and full film slate in 2022. These titles include, 'Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore', 'Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness', 'Thor: Love and Thunder', and 'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever'.
