Well we've not got long to wait by the sound of it and if my valuation is 2x the reality then we're still undervalued - obviously the Gold price is a factor too and that could move a fair bit between now and EoY - time will tell :)

BTW guvvi, re the NPV5 - highly questionable that either HUM or Pasofino could finance it at 5% of course but they clearly have no intention of doing so therefore it's moot.

I might suggest, however, that the NPV 5% discount rate could have been requested by the Turks, or others, who could indeed raise funding at 5% ...

Value will out, it always does.

Pasofino want to sell it, HUM want to sell it, it's going to be sold.

It's currently worth c£100m net to HUM so fast-forward the tape six months from here and we could be sitting on £100m+ of cash with the prospect of 200k oz pa of Gold coming from Yanfolila and Kouroussa a few months after that.

Not bad for a £44m mcap.

Stalker clearly lays it on the line that we're really not likely to be involved (financially) with Dugbe going forward so I would assume a transaction of sorts will occur by year-end - you know what I value our 51% at - HUM swapping their 51% of Dugbe for 51% of Pasofino is an option only, there may be better options, including selling our 51% for hard cash.

Also interesting to hear confirmation that the costs in the DFS are based on current costs for energy etc so while that may continue to go up it's also possible that it eases over time too, oil in particular I imagine.

The hydro plant down the road is interesting too.

All-in-all, that AISC of c$1k is pretty good based on contemporary costs - there aren't many "$1k AISC" Gold miners getting anywhere near $1k this year.

Chunky buy towards the close so there is some interest.

Gotta bear in mind that Gold is substantially above Kouroussa's NPV valuation @ $1,700 so IMO, I'm already rounding down and if Gold moves up in H2 as I expect it to then the disconnect just keeps getting bigger.

Anyway, as I said the other day, I'm super happy for them to keep this pinned down here for the next six months if that's the plan.

Kouroussa is 1/4 the size at 2x the stake (100%) = 13p.

Add the two together and that's the c40p HUM was at two years ago.

Dugbe c820m NPV (at current Gold price) = £670m

£670 x 0.3 (industry-wide average sale valuation at DFS stage) = £201m

x 0.51 net to HUM = £102.5m / 393m shares = 26p net to HUM.

There's no possibility of disagreeing as such as neither of us know the plan lol but I repeat what I've said all along - as soon as that DFS is signed off then Dugbe becomes a bankable/saleable asset, it's the entire point of doing it and at the current Gold price IMVHO on its own it's worth close to Cassidy's 28p share allotment net to HUM.

Clearly, whether he knew it or not before now, Stalker stepping aside at Pasofino is part of whatever someone's plan is - that's all we know.

Really interesting move though for sure and implies maybe we're somewhat close to further news re Dugbe's future perhaps - perhaps funding news may drop sooner than expected??

Sure but maybe they're buying the asset rather than the company - who knows - but I agree, it is intriguing and clearly implies to me that someone with real clout is making moves and at this valuation I'm not bloody surprised.
