Agree - I think it does kinda make sense as I tried to outline below but I still think we're sitting on at least tuppence of unrealised profit here - even with everything staying the same.

Just be aware of the Gold price though obviously as it will have an exponentially leveraged effect on all numbers I've suggested as it moves up past $1,800 - at my intermediate target of $2.4k things ratchet up to multiples really quickly ...

Afternoon - I've bided my time here but I've taken a chunk today - looking for low-mid 2s.

I'm feeling like the air has cleared somewhat myself.

I can't promise 9p is the bottom but it's a pretty good tech/chart number and the valuation - as I described below at 12s - shows considerable upside from 9p even if everything stays the same, they just have to sell Dugbe and I've no doubt that they will.

Do also note Berenberg's latest 12p shout of course ;)

Quite the buzz on FinTwit about PGMs folks - the COMEX Platinum cupboard is about to be emptied I'm hearing.

I've no love for Sprott - their involvement here is the biggest red flag for sure.

Just a view of how I see things BTW but I'm as sure as I can be that the sale of 51% of Dugbe will be worth c£100m to HUM.

If we knock off the current £50m in debt that leaves us with £50m.

Value Yanfolila at zero - possibly charitably but let's go with that for now - and Kouroussa at zero as it's not in production yet and perhaps we should be saying that the mcap floor here should be c£50m, i.e. 12s, not 9s?

All the dirty linen out in public, Gold flying off a rates rise/recession number, Yanfolila production, presumably, on the mend, Kouroussa kicking in with +150% group production in less than a year and Dugbe likely to drop 20p+ of cash in their laps at some point.

The Dollar has c25 years left as reserve and as we Brits should know, losing that reserve status doesn't happen overnight, it takes decades for End of Empire to really kick in.

That ball is rolling now for sure but this isn't just about the Dollar, it's about the debt.

USDJPY breaking down severely just a day after a +75bps rates raise - that's really not a good look - Gold still going @ $1,755.
