Morning - I've no problem with both sides of the debate but yes, it's rarely as simple as supply/demand - in fact, it never is ...

The Money Guys need inflation - that's why we have it - the economic downturn (in real numbers) is Depression-esque, only the inflation hides it.

Deflation from here would break everything - it cannot and will not be allowed to happen.

Therefore, number must go up - for years from here - and the best way to make number go up is by pumping energy and commodity costs as they're the base input cost for every economic activity in the World.

The Russians taking significant amounts of Ukraine's PGM output (amongst other things) being somewhat helpful in that regard ;)

Getting tight here I see - I couldn't get a quote yesterday so I stopped trying - likely to see Gold @ $1,760 at some point I think so perhaps we'll get another stab at 8p or perhaps we won't but nice to see substantial buying and no appetite for selling here at last.

Well someone likes it around here - could pop next week IMO if it holds on to c7p.

I am extremely bullish on Gold but I can't tell you when it's going to kick off - I thought 2022 H2 looked interesting last year and here we are but maybe we've gotta wait six months to see any real Gold price action - who knows.

8p shares aren't likely to be around for long while there's a consistent 400k buyer ...

Kouroussa's first three years are the stuff that Gold mining dreams are made of - some jawdropping drill hits there yet to be factored into resources/reserves too IIRC.

A pity what's happened here over the last 18 months but then if it hadn't we wouldn't be able to buy shares at 8p - they'd be 4x this price and I don't doubt they will be again within another 18 months with Gold @ $2.4k+.

I bought my first Platinum coins on the weekend - looks like Platinum is breaking out right now to my eye.

Ian Stalker of Pasofino pretty much laid it on the line re Dugbe being sold recently - the Turks are already in for a chunk but as ever nothing is guaranteed although I cannot imagine HUM trying to take Dugbe into production while they've got both Yanfolila and Kourousa on the go already for 200k oz pa.

Yanfolila & Kouroussa are very similar, Dugbe is a different beast altogether and far more suited to a mid-tier/major taking it off their hands - Liberia already holds some substantial Gold mining projects so it's in the right place for a deal to be made for sure.

Two obvious points to make:

1/ Neither Pasofino or HUM will be involved with production at Dugbe, it's almost certainly going to be sold in the next 12 months imo

2/ There's nothing more pointless than trying to compare mines, especially quoted AISC numbers. Any AISC calculated more than a couple of years ago is likely 30% below reality now because of inflation - Dugbe's DFS/AISC is up to date with modern costs, $100 oil etc.

Strip ratios and all sorts of other factors can and will differ wildly too.

BTW, iirc, those "reserves" you're referring to at Bilboes require a feasibility study to be undertaken before anything else can happen and if that's to DFS standard then that's a 15m bill coming your way. That's partly why I made the point recently of distinguishing between resources and reserves - it takes a lot of time and money to convert resources to reserves and that's all done and paid for at HUM.

If it makes you feel any better then Newmont, the World's biggest gold miner, is exactly as oversold on both the weekly and daily as HUM are.

This is not a coincidence.

Difficult to compare Dugbe and Kouroussa as they're so different but the Dugbe sale will give us c20p of cash overnight imo whereas Kouroussa will throw off jawdropping amounts of cash on a dripfeed basis from 2023-2025.

It's been tough for many here I know but I'm really looking forward to seeing the next 12 months unfold.

Let's see if any of those monster trades after hours are director buys - they must be out of their minds to not be buying at 8p if they're not.
