Management here is obviously the issue, particularly when they, allegedly, buy themselves at 13.2p six months ago yet don't buy after a 40% drop in the SP since then - that smells.

I quite enjoy people flinging numbers around, though they're often nothing but less than subtle attempts to get people to dump shares :)

The CMCL shout is interesting, regardless of intent, as it highlights the opportunity in HUM at this mcap.

On paper, Kouroussa alone will produce 1.5x the amount of gold that cmcl are getting from blanketed a similar aisc in under one year's time yet the HUM mcap is less than a third of cmcl's and there's the dugbe sale to come plus whatever profitability may magocally turn up from the ****show that is Yanfolila.

That's the opportunity, just gotta wait for it to be realised.

GL with that Bilboes deal - a lorra caveats there and I'd give Zimbabwe a wide swerve myself, hardly comparing apples with apples there but GL with it.

Operating a sub $1k aisc mine somewhere doesn't guarantee you'll be able to do the same on the next one. Yes, the people make a difference but all mines are unique and come with their own challenges.

Plenty of buying but there's obviously a pre-determined destination here as evidenced by the intraday red with buys at 2x sales, even when the only sells are the guy offing £2.5k worth 10x over during the day.

Something is cooking here, it's so artificial - would be nice to also be on the inside of what it's going to be but c'est la vie.

I'm not worried about the medium term in the slightest, for goldies or regular mineral plays.

I'll continue to add here as the value disconnect yawns ever wider and with a view towards Q2 2023 but I'll not add anytime soon as I'm starting to feel like I'm simply paying the BOD's mates a profit on their forward sold placing shares, maybe we all have been this last year ...

Sure but perhaps personal gain > company/shareholder gain, it'd hardly be the first time on AIM/ in a gold miner.

You can't even discover gold resources at £12 an ounce, never mind cost it into reserves at multi-million ounces size - this mcap is crazy, there must be something else going on.

No way should this be under 20p and I say that as a chart bottom picker myself with an understanding of how they stretch things out - they should be able to sell the entire enterprise for >40p right now but it's at 8p?

Anyway, I've got my single digit average now lol - I'll hold off on any more buying for a good while though I think.

The Oklo deal should be viewed as a yardstick for Yanfolila, not Dugbe as they're incomparable, Dugbe is multiple times bigger and in a better jurisdiction in Liberia to boot.

Anyway, I'm right on the Dugbe valuation, Subject to the prevailing gold price, and time will show that ;)

I don't and I've given my math half a dozen times already - you can argue the toss about the discount rate perhaps but standard sale value post-DFS is 30% of NPV for any mining project.

Again, though, recognise that NPV is at $1,700 Gold ...

Post tax NPV of $530m (@ $1,700 Gold - currently $1,765 ...) *0.30 (standard sale valuation) * 0.51 (net to HUM) = £67m/17p

Well then why don't you work it out out at 10% instead of 5% then - it's not rocket science - rather than saying it's worthless because you're assuming that the cost of debt a year or two down the line is going to be anywhere near the cost of debt right now?
