The electric motor in a Tesla has 18 moving parts. An ICE has ~2000.

There will be big announcements at the Battery day in September.
Tesla will manufacture their own. better and cheaper, batteries in-house, incorporating dry cathode technology they acquired from Maxwell, and production equipment from Hibar.
Other manufacturers will not have that advantage, their IP is in ICEs - they will have buy inferior batteries from third parties, so reducing their profit margins.
Telsa will win the self-drive race, then its game over.
Elon is a little eccentric but that won't stop me buying one of his cars.

When EV battery packs are retired they still retain ~80% of their capacity. They can be put into utility scale megapacks, a less stressful environment. Thus giving them another ten years of use.

I always think is because we operate in Russia. Our management no doubt want to update us but are being persuaded not by some apparatchiks. I'm hoping that one day a big, loan, grant, infrastructure package will be announced, with great fanfare, to show that Russia is a good place to invest in.
That's what I like to think anyway.... but, after 10years, my patience is wearing a bit thin.
Maybe we just get shafted by the local Oligarchs.
