RE: STORM BOOM4 Oct 2025 13:04
I was invested in KINO when it was bought out with a low-ball offer.
The company buying KINO made a low-ball bid, but with loads of options, offers and deal-sweeteners for this existing bod.
The bod accepted the low-ball offer, because they were sorted with the "extras", while us PIs were shafted, the company being sold for nearly half of what it could have achieved within 12-24 months.
KINO's board were otherwise skilled, competent and trustworthy to run a quality business. No indication that they were only in it for themselves, and not seeking to maximise shareholder value.
I'm not saying this will happen with BOOM, but I wouldn't have said it would have happened in KINO, until it did.
If a potential buyer is serious, they will probably want to do it before RNSs are released that show BOOM's revenue really taking off, because they can point to the historic (and lower) revenues/profits and try to get away with a lower bid.
Just words of caution, speaking from experience.
