The presentation that kicked the SP up to a 25p trading band justified that price. The problem was the lack of content and the lack of follow through to maintain that band. Then time and expectations caught up with them. Those expectations primarily based on Device Authority were always wildly overdone by people like Rhhodi and his like. Device Authorities USP is protection of legacy devices and the patent associated with that process. No doubt and as praised by others they have a slick interface but outside of and probably within legacy everything else is anyone's game. With a bit of pain the problem can be managed just as well without using Device Authority and no doubt at lower cost using tools manufacturers provide under FIDO for free. Recent events, a placing in kind, demonstrated that Device Authority is not as yet self sustaining let alone generating massive profits and it would be reasonable to assume they are unlikely to become the golden egg that many have painted them as being. It might have been realistic to expect the overall portfolio to support that 25p level over the long term but you lot demanded too much and now the bottom has fallen out of it. Try not to blame anyone else but yourselves.

There was the suggestion by YTee that Mr Hussard has gone quiet. I was just noting a possible reason why and that he was still posting in respect of Tern portfolio companies. In this case Wyld which was the cause of some consternation elsewhere. I also took the opportunity to point out that the article Mr Hussard linked to was very much aligned with the concept of open source standards for LoraWan as promoted by Semtech as is the case for Fido as promoted by Intel. Apparently whilst you yourself recognize this many are prone to making a play on the prospect of companies such as Wyld and Device Authority ruling the roost as a result of their propriety technology.

I certainly accept that both Wyld and Device Authority have both the experience, knowledge and presence within their respective and in many ways overlapping ecosystems and as such represent a value investment. I am however wary of making them out to be in an unassailable position in respect of their chosen markets irrespective of kind words from others. The competition is out there and they have access to the same standards and technologies.

I would suggest that you need to be careful about how such relationships are presented.

The first hit is a company called Stackforce implementing the same in 2015. If you read the words then I would suggest that Stackforce have combined a Semtech transceiver with a microcontroller to provide the solution. This is likely what Wyld are also doing.

Note that Wyld makes no claims as to the LR1110 being bound by their technology. The IC is an 'enabler' from Semtech that is available for any company to integrate their own solutions with. It might be better to portray Wyld as being a client of Semtech.

From the LR1110 datasheet,

Apparently Nigel and Ridicule from ADVFN had lunch with the director of Wyld and Ridicule managed to blart his usual misleading rubbish on the ADVFN thread possibly making himself, and others, persona non grata. Nigel has tweeted today and the article makes for interesting reading.

The article, corrected, relates to Semtech who basically own the Lorawan semiconductor space. The correction was "This article was changed to reflect Semtech’s branding usage with LoRa referring to the use of Semtech silicon and LoRaWAN referring to the open standard protocol" and the words of interest would be *open standard protocol*.

In very much the same way that FIDO, as related to Device Authority, is an *open standard protocol* this is what Semtech are driving for. As such punters should take care when making claims about the impact of propriety technology, patents, when making claims as to the value of Wyld and Device Authority.

Do you actually believe that any of your rambling will be believed by anyone with any sense. I'd suggest not and therefore your rambling is ramping writ large. Call it rampling.

One side of GeoXd's coin is a concocted hourly rate per device to get $146 per device per month. The other side of GeoXd's coin is hundreds of thousands of devices. Of course you rampers are going to blow that one up to billions of devices with the added attempt at being reasonable by suggesting DA might only get 10% of the market but at that point you are getting into $20 light bulb territory because everyone is going to pay $146 a month to secure a light bulb.

Of course it does not work like that. Sensible people will rightly laugh at you for expecting them to secure their $20 light bulb for $146 a month.

The painful thing is that even when sense is pointed out to you someone is still going to try it on and pull meaningless figures out of the air to arrive at meaningless valuations in the belief that anyone, other than their fellow ramplings, will carry the message.

Try to be a bit more ground based and realistic.

Might as well ask how long is a piece of string. Consider that invariably those devices are going to be accessing a database.

ISTR the original poster going back of a fag packet and coming up with $14.6 million a month for 100,000 devices. That's $146 per device per month. Does that seem sensible without the use of a reality distortion field?
