I went back through my curated posts and found this one which, in part, suggests,

So, in this case the flaw, I'll call it an attack and everyone else can suck lemons, does not lie within SHA256 but in the method used for header generation.

Should such an attack vector exist, and I recall words from Jack Dorsey about such concerns but cannot link to them at this time, you might expect the industry to take actions to close that vector assuming they are bothered about the reputation of their Trillion Dollar Shiny.

Then again GSA might smell more profit and short harder. According to my warped logic it would make sense to short into a rising share price. Given wild speculation without any basis is permitted I would suggest, based on my long term experience of such matters (ROFL), that we are looking at a build up to the next placing. With the last being at about a 20% discount, a guess given the company failed to give such figures, we might expect news sometime this week to get the SP back up to 1.8p with the placing, once again being at 1.5p.

If that is the case then it will be interesting to see if that news contains any meaningful detail. No doubt, for the daydreamers, it will be sufficient to say that they have done some live testing and have some results but without detail it will not mean much if anything. Perhaps something along the lines of,

Testing at a lower difficulty.

Do bear in mind that the the whole premise of their AI methods is that they are supposed to be able to spot patterns within SHA256. Then ask yourself whether operating at a reduced difficulty might reveal patterns that are not present within the real network. No doubt this is why yhey are having to perform live testing against the real network in order to convince miners to invest in the technology. Also realise that this has to be done at scale, not one on one, to produce statistically significant results.

Again if you can be bothered you can run the numbers yourself.

2.7 million rigs, brute force, take 10 minutes to solve a block. One machine, statistically, would take 27 million minutes or 51 years or, assuming it works, 21 years. QBT therefore need access to a significant number of rigs in order to generate meaningful data to prove Method B within a realistic timescale.

It would seem that you, along with others, are slightly concerned about the continuing news vacuum. Probably this week then. After all people would not wish to be out of this one when the apparently inevitable happens. In fact according to your good self when it does the share price will rise so fast that they will miss out.

Perhaps everyone should load up now instead of trying to get in lower. After all there will be lots of profit available from 1p or even 0.8p when the SP goes up to 5p. I also keep forgetting to check my last lottery ticket. If I win £1 Million I will be a Millionaire.
