Dgaser, have you thought about advising the government? Clearly you should have been consulted because your timescales conflict with theirs. If only they spoke with you first, no point in setting up the therapeutics taskforce if what you say is correct.

Unite, Trimme. If a company is valued (or it’s perceived value by the buyer) at £100m and there are 100m shares then it’s a £1 per share. If said value is £1b and there are 1b shares in issue then it’s £1 per share. So on and so forth.

The number of shares is irrelevant in my opinion. For instance if you have a company owned by 2 equal share holders there may only be 2 shares in issue, does that make it any less valuable than if there were 10,000 shares in issue?

Hi Stoney, it does make you wonder if Boris is gambling on having viable therapeutic treatments, hence the confidence that they can ride the winter out. I don’t think they would drop all the restrictions without having a viable solution to safeguard the NHS. Obviously that doesn’t mean SAR are in the loop as there are other players on the field. However we aren’t party to all the info and SAR could be a lot further along than we know.

Dr Baillie is the guy who identified tyk2 as a possible therapeutics target, as picked up by the nature article. Also key player in the recovery trials.

Why do you think the above sentence starts with “the timings”?

Clearly it’s because it’s not applicable to the previous paragraph that states; trials for SDC1801 are planned for 2022.

Really quite clear. Covid trials are independent, HNWI has provided funding if they decide alternative to agile trial route.

So they guy who was running the research featured in the original nature article, that highlighted tyk2 Dr Baillie would appear to now be directly involved in the recovery trials.

I’m not the sharpest tool in the box, and I could be missing something here… but we have a very well respected expert who has highlighted tyk2 as a potential target for a Covid treatment, and this same expert is clearly now advising the U.K. RECOVERY trial, which is the world's largest clinical trial into treatments for COVID-19. Hard to believe SDC-1801 is going to be ignored.
