RE: New review article from Maija Holmann8 Feb 2026 06:10
Regarding solid tumours, if early data in blaze hints at a switch back to M1 macrophages and the TME is re-sensitised to ICI’s, perhaps even enhanced given bexmab study, and our understanding of secreted clever-1, I do not see how Gilead are not compelled to go into full acquisition mode and take the whole company.
A safer and more efficacious version of Magrolimab with strong data in MDS and emerging data in NSCLC melanoma and a pipeline of STS and breast cancer coming online becomes too valuable to ignore for a major like Gilead, looking to enhance Zimberlimabs scope and take on blood cancers, with a highly efficient tax environment with regard to R&D expenses.
Of course there are several ways this could still play out and we wait for the next update.
