Thanks for the mention Howard.
Not sure what you are insinuating but I have suggested there is always risk and have laid them out in prior posts.
However I believe, and have laid out that there could be a raise at or around this level, I believe €2 was what I suggested, if needed, which would be a value accretive raise given what it is for, ie, commencing the registrational trial. I do believe offers will already be on the table and trust the board will make the right decision on how to proceed if the deals on the table aren’t worth giving away as much as is demanded at this stage.
It could be that a prelude to a deal is a raise as it becomes clear we can go it alone but I suspect any potential suitors partners would want to control the pivotal trial thus expect a deal prior to starting would be my base case.
The main risk would be market volatility due to liquidity issues perhaps as the result of a serious slow down / debt crisis in major developed markets, however these things don’t tend to last unless a major crisis was to ensue.
However at this stage, and the current market cap, believing in the data, such as doubling the CR rate, and it continuing to play out as such and the market size is 12bn usd, the furthest we will likely take it is to the randomised data readout of 120 patients 40 / 40 /40 on 1mg / 3 mg / placebo.
At which point I would be very surprised to not see is taken out in the multi-billions. A decent risk reward for a one to two year timeframe.
Nobody can predict the share price moves on a day to day basis, and I don’t claim to be able to, but I believe we have the team, drug and options to get us to a far better place in a reasonable time frame.
I still believe as my base case a deal will be done for the reasons I have laid out prior to a significant raise, a small one is possible to augment the cash balance in the interim but then we also have options with the CLN.
Rate certainty looks to be coming more clear at today’s Fed meeting and the end of the year could be the most likely for a deal…
Biotech is volatile and not for the faint hearted.
Hope that helps…
