Opening price 16p....better get new broker inrhubarb!

I did post earlier this week that this goes ex div on 17th(according to my broker). If correct it'll open 15p down tomorrow on today's close.

Shareholders on the register date and ex dividend date are not the same thing. Rather than debate on here suggest if you are thinking of buying or selling to get/avoid the dividend then you check with your broker.

It is ex div on 17th so I expect it to be 15p lower than closing price on 16th on morning of 17th. As it is who is on share register at end of 18th, so 2 days earlier for last chance to buy to get div.

Agree, but question is pre or post FID? Could be difference between few weeks and 12 months wait

Think this is smart move by COC. MMs have been valuing non cash assets at close to zero to date. By taking most of cash out of equation it means market has to try and value end game value of Bow Etinde share. Will be interesting few weeks

We would not have had any cash left if Hart and Co. had stayed. They lost 100s of millions in shareholder value in their tenure. COC have done what they said, stemmed cash bleed so time was not an issue waiting for whatever Etinde brought. They couldn't influence size of Etinde, it is what it is. I think they've saved lth from losing even more. They still get my vote.

According to the RNS HSBC accumulated before the Investor Call not after so they may have been responsible for the rise up to the call. Their last big tranche was in the mid high 30s before the IM6 result so they may be averaging down. Either way theyve been adding and no other ii have unloaded which is one of the few positives at the moment.

At least the big boys are buying more :-)

Fair points Bandit. Ive been invested here more years than i care to dwell on although have averaged down to low 30s so can hope of a positive outcome. Throwing out insults is not in my nature but it is exasperating how some PIs complain about things they themselves are initiating. Time(cash burn) was our big weakness under Hart and co, with this latest fid delay we'd be down and out now under Hart and facing another cash call/dilution. I for one am pleased with COC strategy, take time off the table by reducing cash burn to near zero and that maximises chance of getting 40+p value that is clearly there. I'll try and keep my frustrations under wrap, thanks for the call out

Tried to buy reasonable amount sub 25 and couldnt. Says all you need to know about the fall. They want your shares cheap but wont give you them cheap. Another 10% churn for MMs on nothing but PI impatience

In the absence of news the only thing driving the SP short term is PI buying and selling, albeit small volumes. Seems strange PIs complain about sp falling today, on no news, because they chose to sell. Try holding and not selling, you may be pleasantly surprised on the impact on sp.

Seems calling for an investor update when there's nothing new to add isnt always a good idea! One step forward and 2 back.

Overall thought it quite a "flat" call.Seemed call was more about response to investor concern about downbeat reporting of recent drills than it was about Company having something new to say, which in reality is what happened.

Recent drills didnt find gas to support new flng so that is down the likelihood list of happening. ConsequentLy fid,of another option, is more likely to be in 2H 2019. No more info on drills than in past rns. Analysis continues and will updare investors as and when info becomes available fron New Age.

Confirmed no money back from drilling under the 40M carry.

Little new news and vacuum for a while probably wont be good for sp short term.

All that said, they remain posituve on outlook and balance sheet strength.

On a positive note, if we can have one given current SP, there has been no TR1 rns since HSBC increased there holding in July. Suggests its smaller PI holders selling out and main stakeholders are here and staying for end game value, whatever that is.

Can only summise that discoveries dont help clarify way forward. Not much more gas found so flng project probably less likely. Increased liquids mean other options may now be front runners. That said woukd have hoped for positive sp impact on this type of news but thats Aim for you i guess. Will continue to hold

I suspect if large fund buyers are to return it will be after share consolidation,when at this rate, they'll be able to pick this up for nearer £2. Its a long way back.

Luck, thanks for your analysis. The numbers and logic are clear. However, the current SP can also be explained by the MMs thinking there is a high risk of not realising the value in Etinde, not unreasonable given how long this debacle has gone on, corruption/instability in Cameroon and partners with differing views over best course ahead. There is also a risk that if IE4 is unsuccessful there may be a call for more drills, which we are not carried for. Im a lth and remain hopeful but there is risk here and the markets reflect it.
