Thats the reason I hate tech analysis. It exists because enough people believe it to make it actually occur. The problem with it is that once enough people believe the same thing (the sheep), the actual good tech analysts use that to their advantage to screw them.

The modern world of bedroom chartists is one reason we are where we are. Everyone thinks they are experts on tech analysis, there's so many lines its like a cocaine factory in Colombia! All they do is create a situation where people can't see the wood for the trees.

Using energy is one thing, but having machines running 24hrs a day will create heat and carbon output. Bitcoins are basically worthless barring value investors place on it, so mining them is creating environmental damage for no output. It will get hugely taxed in most countries in the near future, similar to other energy intensive industries. Its naive to sign paper on some renewable power then spout green credentials. Its not green, not until the machines used create no output. But don't let that deter you from claiming to be green champions, laughably naive.

I see comments about 'green'. Signing up for power from a producer that has a few renewable facilities does not make something green. Its takes that power from other demand sources and is adding consumption to the power grid. Bitcoin mining uses natural resources to produce something that is intrinsicly worthless, its the most inefficient use of resources possible. Eventually large-scale mining will be banned, or so highly environmentally taxed as to make it pointless to undertake.

Portugal confirms it will let brits travel, but only if they have a PCR test done 72hrs before. Theyve also extended their state of emergency for another 2 weeks, so thats not much of an ominous sign...

With the rapid escalation of the Indian variant in the UK, and the opening of holiday travel from Monday and the associated huge jump in PCR demand I think we are in for one hell of a week next week. Actually feel we might start to see it this afternoon.

I agree with that Soder, market turbulance increases volatility and increases volume and the spread for sure. I don't see positive or negative wider markets driving NCYT's day by day price action though, at least not to a large extent. We are beholden to covid sentiment for better or worse. Reopening etc has dampened the covid appetite, albeit in my view thats counter intuitive, given more opening equals more cases and testing. Now cases are increasing again sentiment is swinging back to us.

Markets are irrelevant to NCYT in my view. Theyve been booming whilst we've been losing 70%. Positive market sentiment does not correlate with NCYT. Covid has its own sentiment bubble, and with the news of the Indian variant starting to surge in the UK, thats been our trigger I believe. That and a classic double bottom this morning.

If only I'd known sooner, I could have started at £10 and we'd be over £100 a share by now. Oh well, never too late I guess.
