Yeah, it has held up ok, i thought it was going back in the 11s tbh, thats why i sold when it popped up. The punters over there are used to a raise that gets hoovered up in 2 or 3 days, but this one was much bigger than usual. Theres a lot of angst over the discount, it was trading at 20p+ shortly before, but to me it was obvious a raise was coming, thats why i sat out for a while.

TXP got a bit of a buzz going today, ive a few in there.

I sold at 12.8p, a few days ago. Looking to buy in as soon as things get moving again.

Sentiment is very flat over there, it really needs an update to lift the mood and provide some clarity. Theres so much conjecture amongst the faithful as to the plan of action, just feels messy at the moment.

"The Company needs to raise new finance in the short term for working capital and to repay the loan facility with Shell of c. £1m due for repayment at the end of August 2023. In the meantime, the Company's working capital remains severely constrained. Cash at the end of July 2023 was £97k. A number of conversations are progressing with potential providers of finance but there can be no guarantee that any financing arrangements will be entered into. "

If we need O&G, and if extracting it from the north sea has the lowest environmental impact, would this not represent the "best of a bad bunch" so to speak?

I appreciate there is a bigger picture, examples need to be set and changes initiated, but we will continue to need O&G for a long time. Relying on imports with a higher carbon footprint doesnt feel like progress.

Yeah, hes offered stability and knows the ropes, think he holds a good chuck of shares too. So its not exactly good news to have him depart, perhaps wants a quiet life, who knows. I will actualy read the RNS shortly, perhaps there is an explanation.

PRD, not much idea where the bulk of the churn will occur. Would caution that there are a Lot more shares to work through this time, and there may not have been as much forward selling either, it feels a bit rushed through to me.

Havent had chance to even read the RNS properly, but sold some as a precaution on the basis that its throwing a bit of uncertainty into the mix, which rarely goes down well.

Am an advocate of action to tackle climate change, and loath Sunak, but...

Here's what he said today re the granting of new O&G projects, which makes total sense to me.

"Even when we reach net zero in 2050, a quarter of our energy needs will still come from oil and gas and domestic gas production has about a quarter or a third of the carbon footprint of imported gas."

The prime minister also said it made "absolutely no sense" to import energy supplies with "two to three times the carbon footprint of what we have got at home".

He said increasing home-grown sources of energy would improve the UK's resilience, create jobs and generate tax revenue to fund public services.

Saying that, there will be little in the way of financial wiggle room.

Still, there's a lot one can do if one's heart is in the right place. At this stage bringing a little bit of respectability back on the world stage, some integrity, no more "jobs for the boys" and backhanders. Just show a bit of compassion, anything would feel like a big change. The present Gov just make me feel ashamed.

He's certainly taken that approach to the letter regards Brexit. Damage limitation i mean, i expected him to be so much more outspoken on the issue when he was elected leader.

There was an article by Polly Toynbee in the Observer a couple of weeks back which sort of hinted at the same mindset.

It suggested that the Labour left, or any presently dissatisfied with Kiers lack of flamboyance on the policy front, should hold their council until after the election. The suggestion being that it is damage limitation until an election is won, then off come the shackles of the policy agenda.
