Yesterday I posted that Airgas US had declared force majeure with regard to customer helium deliveries. I also posted a previous force majeure notice from Airgas, dated 11/25, to a particular Airgas customer regarding Nitrous Oxide. I subsequently contacted the customer to communicate Helix' capacity for immediate replacement of its Helium requirements, and to Helix of the customer's supply predicament. This morning I was copied on an email by BS to the customer intoducing Helix, and requesting contact to coordinate a site visit and discuss offtake arrangements. Fingers crossed.

Brent, you are correct. The letter posted was for a previous force majeure event between Airgas and this offtaker. Airgas has issued a similar (form) force majeure letter for helium within the past week, but that letter has not been posted. The posting was offered for illustrative purposes only as to content of such form letters - I ought to have made that clear; apologies.

The customer is, however, a potential offtaker for Helix and, given the force majeure declaration, legally entitled to seek replacement sourcing from other suppliers. For this reason, the customer and BS have been notified in the hope of effectuating a connection.

North American Helium (also mentioned in the previously-referenced article) appears to be a principal Helix competitor, with drilling operations in the southwest corner of Saskatchewan, immdiately north of Rudyard. Well-funded; fully 100 wells drilled to date to Helix' three; and, unfortunately, privately held. Perhaps a future acquireror of Helix?
