On the question of why the Company has remained mute of late, I would like to suggest an alternative explanation - that flow results are living up to, or even exceeding, expectations, and that in light of the recent Megrez debacle, the Company wishes to make absolutely, positively certain that their data ducks are in a row before trumpeting the happy results.

The Dub outcome is a pure risk play - a gamble. All available data suggests it to be a good bet, but just as with elections, the only poll that matters is that conducted on election day. You know going in that you will either win or lose - no middle ground, no mercy. If you cannot handle that uncertainty, the rational response is to liquidate your holding. If you can, the rational response is to hold. Whining about the sources of the uncertainty - lack of communication by the company, market maker antics, etc. - is waste of time. Make your decision, await the result, and accept the outcome like an adult.

Perhaps I am denser than others on this board, but I was rather disappointed with the RNS. I thought by now that HB would have some actual, concrete news to share about the number and content (but not identification) of specific inquiries and prospects developed over the past twelve months. Instead, the RNS reads like a morning cereal commercial... 'everything is great, we're really excited, steady as she goes, talk to you next year.' While I agree with all that the prospects for this holding remain very promising, it would have been nice to receive more than mere platitudes from management.

Have always liked this share, and enjoy a solid position. But I must admit that I am surprised at the duration of the effort to procure development/partnership. When HB came on, his commentary suggested confidence that an agreement would be arrived at promptly. 18 months in, and still radio silence.

Hoping for something soon.

At this point all long-term holders are as exasperated as they are exhausted, impervious to endless promises of watershed news and resultant price spikes. Time for FI firms to put up or shut up.

Compared to many of you, I was a bit of a Johnny-Come-Lately to FI shares, buying my first holding in FOGL in 2011. The oil price crash of 2014 and the subsequent dissolution of FOGL were extremely disappointing as I was (and remain) completely convinced that the project and resource were a bonanza waiting to happen. After Rock took over FOGL, I held the resulting Rock exchange shares for years before resuming accumulation around 2022. I now have a sizeable holding and have been in the black lifetime since late 2023. When I first bought in to FOGL, I thought the shares would help with my then-little-kids school and maybe a second used car (for my wife). Now at 61 and still trying to retire, I am hoping that Rock will push me across the finish line.

Best wishes to all here who have held on through thick and thin to see the vision finally, finally, finally brought to fruition.

Insurance awards are generally not taxable as they are viewed as compensation for a loss. that is. restoration to a claimant of assets previously possessed but lost due to a casualty. Only increases in wealth ('new money') such as income or gains are subject to tax.

The award is a disgrace - yet another example of a truly corrupt legal regime. One bright spot is the act that the fancy international law firm who took on what it must have viewed as a sure thing will now share , indeed absorb most of, the suffering.

Have worked in the courts for 37 years. They are absolutely useless - incredibly expensive and slow, and yielding outcomes which are invariably unsatisfactory. Do not hold your breath - could easily be another year before they pull the briefs off the shelf, blow off the dust, and muse over pints as to whether to do anything at all.

Aphun and Kodiak are established, proven and 100% company-owned; required infrastructure (road and pipeline) are completed and immediately adjacent; and the truly modest construction necessary to complete the wells will very likely cause Trump's Army Corp of Engineers to issue the 'finding of no significant impact', thereby reducing permit issuance time from 18 to 6 months. Megrez, conversely, is a minor distraction which will little impact the company's long-term prospects and profitability regardless of outcome. Accordingly, the current share price is a bargain by any standard and all sensible investors are now buying.

Nasty, from this an other posts it appears that, like me, you are an American. As such we have been given a great gift, to observe for ourselves in real time the number, scope and depth of this President's achievements, unfiltered by the (inter)national news media. Most on here are Europeans who lack that advantage. Thus, they know only what the media/government socialist apparatchiks tell them. Those who have been profiting egregiously for years at the expense of the US middle class stand to lose a great deal from Trump's forced re-migration of US wealth from the 1% back to that middle class. It is, therefore, hardly surprising that they are dumping their massive holdings in concert in an effort to discredit the President economically, just as they do politically. The ultra-rich have been thoroughly exposed and discredited and cannot prevail - their actions are the last gasp of a dying organism. Within 60 days, the ruse will have run its course, and the market will then soar.
