I was questioning if I was mad buying but been in this since last May/June and have followed the story, I just liked the different approach to the test compared to other testing companies. Nowt wrong with theirs as an in some of those too but it’s a big market. Plus after the divi I was on a free carry anyway.
DaP, me too he’s a no nonsense and straight up scientist all facts. Loves a good ding dong on T witter tho, check him out this eve, he’s got it in for Rhonda!
I added to day in hope, bizarrely my 6,994 share purchase at around 3:30 is not showing..... hmm, it’s definitely in my iii account
100% seen it so many times before.
Was desperately trying to add some cash to my account when I saw it drop to 85p but the bank put a fraud stop on my debit card!! By the time I got that lifted it had gone back to £1.05. Dammit.
Excellent time to scoop up more.
So they've now tried the big scary drop to get hold of shares, what comes next.
All Boris needs say, to get things pumping, is something along the lines of:
'Along with the continued deployment of the vaccine our way out of lockdown is through mass rapid testing. British medical business and research facilities have been working tirelessly to develop improved and rapid testing solutions. In the coming weeks we will see the first of these becoming available promising accurate results in 5 minutes...'
In my view that will be enough to boost Covid test stocks massively. Then we just await the expected news BRH test is all good and contracts will follow......
I'm inclined to agree that BRH/Paray won't take this to production themselves. More likely licensed or sold to the highest bidder (my bet the latter). I find the whole comparison to the so called competition and 'too late to the party' comments funny. Firstly, we are in the midst of the biggest public health crisis the world has ever seen, even if we are able to bring the virus spread under some sort of control pockets will pop up for many years to come the world over which will need good quick testing to stamp out - so plenty of time.
Secondly, and perhaps more importantly I don't see the likes of AVCT and NCYT as necessarily being direct competition, more complimentary. For example:
AVCTs LFT is there for mass distribution and home use and some smaller settings (appreciate current expected govt use is wider than this currently).
BRH's offering (hopefully) has the speed and accuracy that is required in commerce and industry to get business open again and form part of daily/weekly testing of workers coming into the office, venues, big events.
NCYT's gold standard (as they like to say) PCR style testing is there for clinical settings where high accuracy is more important than speed. Labs, Hospitals etc, etc.
Basically the problem is so big more than one solution is required to control it.
This is not to say that BRH's test couldn't be used clinically (we don't know the answer for that yet) but I see it unlikely to be a home solution as the unit cost will likely be too high for this kind of setting (i seem to remember a few thousand per unit for the light boxes and sensors).
So there we have it, room for everyone, and plenty of space for BRH to grow into on good results which will come (hopefully) next week.
Nice one Casper. It’s the first link I was referring to last night. The others are also useful, especially for our new and potential investors.
No they should go off and do some research into other fast tests out there and have a bit of a look at their market caps...
Casper great post and helps highlight some of the other irons in the fire here longer term. £30m market cap is a steal for the fast COVID test alone, before you even consider the other projects/investments.
The other thing is to look back through Carl’s tweets. A few months ago he posted a really interesting chart showing the detection spikes from their prototype device (perhaps someone on Twitter can repost). It actually showed strong detections in 90 seconds.
What I’m trying to say is with good results we may be looking at even less than 5 mins. Now what business in the country isn’t t going to want to invest a few grand to get such a device to check their workforce/customers/etc when they arrive if it only takes 90 seconds! Seriously game changing the market is enormous and hungry.
GLA holders
There is a possibility TB could buy. Given he may have had capital set aside to exercise the warrants that were hoped for in RMS which now won't materialise he could be pumping that in here.
I think it more likely though the drag on SP by DCT has now been removed so the SP is running freely. Could also be Mr Sharpe topping up more!
Hi LeFlic, yes indeed!
Amusingly my first buy was mid 2012, around 2p. That was back when the focus was a big copper project in the US in conjunction with a Canadian Co, it was old 2p so was worth next to nothing after consolidation. I now sit at an average of 2.5p, so very happy. I have it spread across my trading account, ISA, SIPP and my daughter's JISA (She is 3 so hopefully she'll be very happy with Daddy at 18!).
Although do kick myself for not taking some of my Covid share profits and sticking them in here sub-1p last June. Exposure to one share was just too high for me at the time tho.
Yep also now my biggest holding. I have been here for 9 years. It has been long and testing but hopefully the next 6 months will be transformational and my investment (and patience) pays off.
As AIM CEO's go I have confidence in Craig, he has quietly built here over the last 3 years or so, managing the costs tightly, securing good ground and selling off poorer ground and legacy assets. Hopefully that quiet effort will turn into a big shout of success.
GLA genuine investors.
@ Razorman,
Who knows. JV could land anytime, tomorrow, next month, the month after but LTH here agree (I think) if it happens it could be next few months.
Drilling results should start coming through in the next few weeks/month dependent on lab capacity/delays in Oz. Craig has said they are just going to keep drilling at Bailieston (we have our own rig so this is no problem).
Licences will be however long the authorities take out there but they've been lodged for some time.
Purely my view but I think some drilling results will be the first major news JV late March early April.
@Saber,
Key (SP moving) news events expected:
- Drilling progress and results at Bailieston (drilling started early Jan)
- Award of licences applied for.
- JV on Creswick licence, hopefully.
Not expecting anything else but something can always come left field any time.

Hi TS, Yes I have taken the Shen ones off. I have the following outstanding but happy to be corrected (my warrants sheet has gotten a bit messy as there are so many different tranches!). I missed the 37m July 20 warrants in my last total.
