Charles Jillings, CEO of Utilico, energized by strong economic momentum across Latin America. Watch the video here.
With the members of the circular firing squad taking a break, what does the board think we'll see from the upcoming announcements about the placing and some up-to-date figures?
Which of these is most likely keeping in mind it's Scotgold we're dealing with here?
1. Knock it out the park - great figures, lhs exceeding expectations with proof, successful placing, all internal contretemps sorted, new brooms if required and a golden future pretty much assured? (Where's my medication?)
2. A goodly assortment of sticking plasters that will enable us to limp on a wee bit longer?
3. An unmistakable prelude to the fat lady singing?
Ready, aim, FIRE!!
Two sides to every story. Which one is right?

He talks from about 7 minutes in about how seriously environmental issues are taken and about the wonderful relationship the company has with the Parks people. Also mentioned is what happens if anything does get into the river.
I want to believe PD about this and what he says in the rest of that presentation.
Time will tell which side of the story is correct.
Yet another hit piece on Twitter which contrasts with what shareholders were told about the cleanliness of the operation.
How much of it is factual?
The photograph dated October 2023 suggests not all of it.
How long can it take to finalise the accounts? Are the numbers so massive or so tiny??
BBB- the company still being here would probably be sufficient to please a fair few folk given the kicking the company has been given recently.
This from January - only a few short weeks ago:

Closing paragraph:
PD: Our gold is paid in US dollars, and the price of gold today is sitting a fraction above $1,765 (£1,450) per ounce. Our all-in sustaining cost of production is roughly $662 (£544) per ounce. It is extremely profitable. Once we get up to the full run rate next year, the people that bought into the project early will be extremely happy.
Lol. Will we survive until then?
Evening all.
"Does that mean that a crime has been committed?"
Therein lies the crux of the matter, Samson, and all the ill feeling that is spilling on to this board.
Some are are apparently suggesting there is evidence to show what the company and other individuals have engaged in goes way beyond exuberant optimism and crosses the threshold of criminality.
Indeed but most here probably thought we would, one day, get there.
Throughout those long years and/or the two most recent, I wonder how many of us thought that the company might be telling us barefaced lies in its presentations, accounts, announcements and media interviews.
I'm not saying that that has happened but it appears some among us feel there is growing evidence to support such a point of view.
The truth will out.
imo
"...without doing research..." you mean like looking at the figures and information given in official company presentations, announcements and media interviews?
How's that worked out these last two years? Or 12 years if you prefer?
...
It seems the gloves are coming off now - lol. Offensive and personal posts. If there has been criminal activity there will be no difficulty in tracing who posted what, where and when despite what people may delete.
Come on Scotgold - give us an announcement tomorrow about the glorious success of the lhs, an explanation of who got the £3 million raised last time - oh, and the accounts for the first quarter of the year. Who's got them for sign off? A fiddler? A doctor? If you've been telling us the truth, the announcement should be great news. LOL.
If not, ask not for whom the clink tolls.
imo
The share price and the state of the financial company are hard to argue with. Who brought this about?
But the Twitter account you are probably referring to isn't deleted though, is it? The name has changed - distancing himself from Scotgold? - but it's still there, no?
Suspicious? Possibly. Definitive proof of anything? Not in my book. (Not that that counts for a whole lot lol.)
If Twitter's right it looks like the email story is a red herring. (But focusing on the detail, is the police investigation looking at the hack, the content, both or now neither? Wouldn't hacking the company's email be an offence irrespective of the content?)
We've all probably hit the wrong key from time to time when sending emails but it's his ability to look after the financial interests of the company and shareholders that concerns me.
How's that going?
Since it's Friday lol

As Maurice Chevalier sings in Gigi, "Ah yes, I remember it well."
....there can't seriously be anyone who has been impressed with how the company has performed over the last two years.
From roughly 75p a share to today's 17p. Can any sane person say they've exercised fiduciary care?
Can't think the company's performance is going to be acceptable to our largest shareholders.
imo
Further reflections - if we do get out of this apparent disaster should the future be without those who brought the company into it?
The facts do make dismal reading - a continued catalogue of failure.
We should have had commemorative pure Scottish gold ingots ready for the coronation but no! The Scotgold way is 13 years in and we've lost a good 80% of the company's value, and warnings about not continuing have been necessary for inclusion in all recent announcements. Great work, guys. Great work.
The facts speak for themselves but in terms of the rumours I thought there was definitely another point of view which I tried to summarise.
No one put forward a case for the defence relating to the rumours so I’ll do it myself lol.
1. The market makers don’t seem bovvered in the slightest by what appears on Twitter or on TW’s tipsheet. I’d have thought if there was anything serious to worry about they’d lop off a good 30% or 40% every morning just for good measure as they are wont to do.
2. Likewise the heavyweight shareholders - we’re just not seeing sells of hundreds of thousands of shares. If there was even the slightest suspicion that the company had engaged in criminality, wouldn’t even they be rushing for the exit?
3. With each passing day the company doesn’t respond, the more able they should be to issue a comprehensive rebuttal when it suits them. This is a better strategy in my view than getting into some piecemeal tit-for-tat claim and counter claim. If the rumours are spurious, it’s good that the company isn’t wasting time worrying about them.
4. We’re now a month into the lhs work which according to two recent announcements is going according to plan. That seemed pivotal to a golden future and if it really is going to plan, all well and good as we head towards the magical 23,500 figure.
The ‘case for the prosecution’ admittedly might look strong (and carefully compiled over a long time) and if it all goes belly up the above will look naïve in the extreme but I’m going on the evidence I can see which funnily enough Sherlock Holmes did in The Adventure of the Second Stain. Our Adventure of the Second Vein is possibly a two-pipe problem. I would swear that PD talked in the television interview about starting work on the second vein - nothing about “hoping to” or “if it’s actually there” or being contingent on funding or any other factors. Thank heavens for video evidence if it comes to that.
Come on, Scotgold - give us a break!
If it is to be Barlinnie will you be organising a visit, TB?
If the company has been telling the truth it should be the easiest thing in the world to scotch all the rumours.
If they lied, however, I hope all responsible enjoy their stay in Barlinnie.
It would be good to see a credible case for the defence besides the names of those who’ve pledged to support the latest raise.
Is there anybody there?
How likely is it that he blatantly lied on television?
He’s not a politician so I’d say very unlikely.
Looking forward to an update about it and about how the lhs is going one month in. Oh, and the exploration work the first raise of the year was going to fund. Lol
Re today’s tweet - when watching the programme it never struck me the story of the new vein might not be true.
Is it? Awkward if not.
