If there's no gold after everything they officially announced over the last - insert whatever time period you like - it's the police that should be called in imo.

Ordinarily, you'd probably think just let them get on with what they do best.

Although I guess problems might arise if what they do best is destroy shareholder value.

Even the heavy hitters who supported the last raise at a paltry 15 pence will now be sitting on a loss on that 'investment'.

Still, there's great solace in the knowledge that we don't have incompetent and dishonest charlatans running the show.

Another 3% less today in the year that was going to see us hit full production and finally make some serious progress on new mines. It's as if no one is tempted to buy at any price. How could that be, Scotgold's management team? How could that be?

Those impressive figures were released, BBB, on 11th July last year.

Between then and the end of the year something truly catastrophic must have happened as by December they needed more than one attempt to get the bad news out the way early, and by January they were openly saying they were only sharing as much as they were comfortable sharing at that point. What DID happen? I'm not sure that's ever been adequately explained.

Runners and riders - very entertaining. Comes across as playing with a straight bat and possessing an encyclopaedic knowledge of mining......but the results? Unless he pulls the rabbit out the hat in the next day or so, it must surely be curtains. How must those holding millions of shares feel about what has been done to the price while simultaneously expanding up to 100 staff? Rumours/confirmation of a new broom might excite the market as well.....quick!!.....before the money raised recently magically disappears in the tried and trusted Scotgold way.

It's still not like inside Fort Knox in Goldfinger but it's something.....

The overseer on Twitter opened that debate yesterday, seemingly convincingly, and to date there have been no figures to the contrary presented here.

I wonder if our new ned (which I'm sure he's not lol) did similar calculations. What results, with all his mining expertise and access to data, perhaps, that the company isn't willing to share with the rest of us "at this moment", would he have come up with?

No, not an RNS specially for that alone, TB, but as today's announcement covered a little more than an update about the offer, a one- liner about what the kit was and how it will benefit us wouldn't have gone amiss.

On the other hand, if they are taking what is being spread seriously, why answer only some of the concerns/falsehoods (take your pick lol) raised? Two possibilities as I see it: 1) . They can't figure out what to say without incurring some damage/admitting at least partial truth. 2) They're so ridiculous they're not worth bothering about.

I thought so too, Blyth, and it might suggest he foresees a future for the company.

No one's skills and experience can alter the geology and the grade contained within the rock so it might suggest he thinks the quantity and grade will be just fine.

I'd have been inclined to include those impressive figures, something like: Long hole stoping continues along the 115m strike length in line with the stope mine design and forecast grades i.e. between 8 and 17 g/t.

Wonder why they didn't.

Any substance to that? Proof?

Probably most of us felt like that. My disquiet is cause by:

1. The grades told to us in recent announcements don't seem to tally with the grades he talked about in his presentations and interviews.

2. The share price under his tenure.

3. The rumours on Twitter - yes, I get that - that he's rarely there.

Funnily enough the JORC resource statement was mentioned in a less-than-favourable Tweet earlier today. Evidently the management team laugh about how s*** it is.

The company desperately needs a comprehensive update soon.

I don't think he'd make up figures to give to the journalist but just under 12 is a bit different to 4.9 and very different to a pile of worthless (barney) rubble.
