Long term holders here might not be the typical demographic that Instagram is aimed at but over the last couple of months Hamilton and Inches have been showcasing some of their astonishingly beautiful jewellery on Instagram and highlight the fact that the gold is our very own Scottish Gold and even use the Scotgold hashtag thingy :-)

If you have children who can show you how Instagram works it is well worth taking a look - even to the untrained eye, one can tell that these pieces are beautiful and the allure and romance of Scottish Gold - which attracted many of us all those years ago - in nicely woven into their descriptions. I'm not sure you can scroll through to see them all in one go though.....I haven't mastered it myself.

In due course hopefully Scotgold will use all appropriate social media to spread the word (but obviously we don't want employees spending all day browsing the web lol).

Today? My goodness. The only upside is that a month ago we'd have been delighted if anyone had told us that we'd be in the Swinging Sixties.

For a mere nano second earlier this morning I was actually in profit for the first and only time since I bought in in January 2011.
Thank goodness I was up in time to see it or I'd never have believed it.

It's so disappointing and disheartening to see people praise what looks to me like blatant dishonesty, deceit and hypocrisy just because that behaviour worked for somebody.

His acolytes are almost as bad as he is, in my book.....and far bigger mugs.

And what is very encouraging indeed is that the increase, in the grand scheme of things, was on minuscule volumes.

What'll it be like once we're fully on the radar screen?

The way the price sailed effortlessly through the Roaring Forties was fantastic and hopefully there will be no sign of it hitting the Doldrums any time this decade!

Sizeable holders here have seen the paper value of their shares rocket these last few weeks. Long may it continue.
