and lets hope the New Year brings some positive news, like in the form of a new extended PSA licence. even though the PSA review prosses has taken so long, I see no logical reason why the Tanzanian Gov will not issue the licence, (1) given the future gas demand growth, and (2) now that they know, and which they have sat on their desk, the ARA commitment to the $40 million 2020 Work Programme, which is extensive and comprehensive, from the appraisal/exploration drilling of Chikumbi-1 and the acquisition of extensive 3D and 2D seismic surveys over the Mtwara licence. full marks to gaslady, keep the faith

mj, all I can say, Is, if you feel as strongly as you do, then you shouldn't be holding to many AEX shares.

mj, why would they string everyone along, not just Aminex/Zubair's but also the majors interested in LNG? how would that benefit Tanzania or indeed any individual politician by putting the national prosperity of Tanzania in jeopardy. I think you will find that the Tanzanian Gov are just being cautious maybe overly cautious, but they have a right to be, after all it is there resource and it is finite, so they have to get this right.

as Aminex operates Nyuni with a 93.3333% working interest, I guess at some stage we will see ARA farm-in to the licence, maybe after 3D seismic ?

The proposed amended work programme and associated commitment is being supported by the TPDC and awaits the approval of both the Petroleum Upstream Regulatory Authority (“PURA”) and the Minister of Energy. Aminex remains focused on projects which will deliver commercial gas to the Tanzanian markets in the near term and Aminex believes the Nyuni Area acreage offers considerable upside exploration potential to complement the development projects at Ntorya and Kiliwani North. The proposed acreage to be retained lies in the shallow water areas adjacent to the Kiliwani North Development Licence which will require the acquisition of 3D seismic to move shallow water targets to drill ready status"

lets hope so buckler. really I am still confident we'll hear news soon, or at lest before yearend, surely it would be quite improper for the licence not to be granted before the year end, so that ARA has the full year and legal right to carry out their planed budgeted 2020 Work Programme.

well i'm still taking comfort from ARA comments, as it now looks as though the Zubair Corporation (the funder) is fully onboard with the Ruvuma/Ntorya development project.
