This time last year production was supposed to be ramping up to 23,500 oz/year by end Q1 23
Now '23 production guidance is half that level. I wonder if the mine will ever achieve 20,000 oz or more
All I can say is, thank our lucky stars that the POG is where it is!

Very quiet indeed, and only 2 trades so far this month. Hard to believe this was 40p a year ago and I don't think anything's happened since to justify this. Let's hope for some exciting news soon to create some interest and lift the SP.

Gcat now down from 0.8p to 0.42p in 1 week. Glad I didn't put 10-20% of my gold exposure into it.

CMCL 3% up on the day, GCAT 18% down.

The platinum price chart for the past 12 months looks just the same shape as gold. My gold mining shares have responded to the increased commodity price but no reaction at all for THS SP.

Stocko numbers give a 12m trailing P/E of 2.3 and 12m forward P/E of 2.9 at current SP, which is incredibly low for a value share let alone a growth company. Sold some other holdings today and doubled my holding in THS. The 6% tax free divi is a bonus too.

This price is crazy even compared to other junior miners exposed to Zim. CMCL which I also hold has 100% Zim exposure and a trailing P/E of 4.3 and forward P/E of 5.8 on Stocko numbers.

I believe any divi's paid to ISA's are converted automatically to GBP because ISA rules stipulate that foreign currency cannot be held in them. No such rules apply to SIPPs, mine being paid in USD (and also free of withholding tax)

It seems odd that they would deliberately reduce generating capacity given that the cost of materials consumed for the 3 months to 30 Sept was a lower ratio of their revenue from operations than it has been in the recent past, when they returned a profit

3 Months to 30 June 22, cost of materials consumed was 76% of their revenue from operations
3 Months to 30 Sept 21, cost of materials consumed was 77% of their revenue from operations

I considered that, but it makes little sense to me.

If they are profitable at all then the revenue from selling their power must be greater than cost of coal, so the more generated/sold the better.

FY21 ave coal price was $50/ton and tariff 5.4 Rs/KWH
FY22 ave coal price was $67/ton and their average tariff for the 5 months ending 31 Aug 22 (in other words, the 5 months following their FY22 results) was 9.15 Rs/KWH

Presumably their current coal price is somewhere below Indonesian price of circa $80-90/ton as some of their coal is domestically produced, so perhaps the current average may not be too far off the $67 FY22 cost, and present tariff is presumably still around 9.15Rs/kWH.

This suggests to me that they should continue to be profitable, but if they are holding back their plant then they must be trying to limit losses?

What's the reason for such a low PLF?

I'll not be so bold as to predict specific numbers, but suffice to say that with a current tariff of 9.15Rs (up 69% from FY2021 tariff of 5.42Rs) I'm expecting them to have remained profitable, with continued repayment of debt.
