The next focusIR Investor Webinar takes places on 14th May with guest speakers from Blue Whale Growth Fund, Taseko Mines, Kavango Resources and CQS Natural Resources fund. Please register here.
Watched the interview and I deduced the following timeline:
- Part fix - lets say by late Wednesday, we should restart drilling.
- 100m drill - lets say this takes another 2 days
- TD reached - by Friday or Saturday allowing 1 extra day flex.
- Wireline - Between Sunday to mid next week (is this enough time).
So when LB says Tai 3 should be complete by somepoint next week, does she mean TD by next week or wireline and analysis too?
Also no mention of 2nd drill today at all. To me, this signifies 2nd drill will be delayed to next year.
I put in £2.5k buying 42k shares at 6p. Expensive lesson but you need to look at the long term game. I got greedy. through this was a quick double your money trade and I got burnt badly and an expensive lesson. Most of my funds are actually tied up in fund shares where risks are much lower. I am still young so have a long road ahead to create wealth through funds.
Stock picking never works out for me but sometimes greed gets the better of me and I pull the trigger. You will always have some winners and loser but I hope long term, the winners outweigh the losers. Life experiences are always expensive lessons. What has happed to UPL and the loss of my £2.5k will ensure I always think twice before buying a share for a quick profit.
If it's too good to be true, then it probs is.
I was thinking, could the delay be due to the drilling team registering strong helium shows and given after last time they had hole stability issues, that they actually case/cement the sections where strong helium shows occured so not to lose these prospects?
Can any experienced folks on this BB advise?
Thanks
If we get back to basics, this drill is binary, partly de-risked in the 2021 drilling round.
There have been delays this Tai C, no one can deny that. 2 weeks delay for the part breaking down and 1 week further delay for reasons we don't know. Total delay circa 3 weeks. Is it normal for one to assume delay means bad news. We have form in HE1 where a delay has been followed by bad news. Every time an RNS starts with 'Operational Update' then I know something has not gone to plan during a drilling program.
However we've all invested in this stock knowing the risks and relatively low chance of success. No point calling out anyone with a sceptical mindset and tagging them as a de-ramper, followed by abuse. At the same time, no point calling out someone overly optimistic (we all know who they are) tagging them a ramper. We all want HE1 to succeed right? Who wants to lose money at the end of the day.
I realise some folks want a cheaper entry so let them be. It's fine to discuss concerns imo.
Good luck all, lets hope we hit helium this time around, keep it polite on here. I prefer to read the informative posts, both covering risks and rewards.

Personally I would like to see a super positive update, with helium shows, free gas encountered (not fizz gas like last time) and high concentration of helium from initial readings.
Words and phrases like:
- excited on potential discovery
- above expectation
- better than expected
- really pleased with the drill
- transformative drill for the business
- really proud of the team
- etc etc
Then a positive update on 2nd drill, how rig is being mobalised and drilling should start in 1 weeks time or so.
@anelka, by the number of recommendations, you seem to be a respected poster, but just to double check with your claim around having a source at a service company, were you being serious with that claim or having a joke?
