After you left, you must have surely od"d many times over on cars.... its in our blood. Fast cars/bikes n loose women......well probably not loose women anymore, but still fast cars n bikes. :-)

Anyone spot the deliberate mistake item 7 on me old motorcycles ?

BMW Guildford in 1986....that should have been 1996 10 years after I bought it. :-)

Certainly have had many vehicles over the years and that's excluding the ones my 2 brothers and sister have had... :-)

Anyway, hope you may have found it of some interest and even sparked a few memories.

As a child we had:
1. Green Bedford van with sliding doors that only managed 60mph max.
2. White Vauxhall velox had an unusual milometer that changed colour with speed.
3. Black Austin 8 (we called it Lurch).
4. Green Vauhall cresta estate
5. Blue 1972 Merc 280SEL.
6. White Ford Cortina XL (new company car. 2 days after we got it, I rode my James captain into the back and dented it-Dad always thought he"d done it whilst visiting the dentist).
7. Red Ford Cortina Mk IV company car. (I borrowed it and then promptly crashed it on my way back to university after lunch).
8. Green Ford Cortina MKV company car. (borrowed that for a university field trip to St Davids and wrote it off on my way with the car full of other students to Aberystwyth to see the steam trains. Never got there of course. Company sent another car and we ended up waiting at a petrol station for many hours.
9. Yellow VW polo estate (brakes were lethal).
10. White Ford escort 1100 estate.
11. Geen Ford sierra company car.
12. Silver Volvo 265.
13. Blue Volvo 740 estate company car.
14. Green Peugeot company car. Eventually bought from the company then sold to me.
15. Blue Mazda Demio. My mother somehow managed to jump a hedge in that one..
16. Metallic bronze Volvo V70 (as big as a tank, but a nice car).
17. Black Renault Scenic-SWB. Actually a very nice car the 110dci engine is a dream.

Anyone else care to share as there is not much else happening here. Hopefully you will recognize one or two.:-

Old Cars include:
1. Green mini traveller, Wish Id kept that one now. Loads of character.
2. Red 1303s Beetle (took that to Norway n sold it to an expat)
3. Silver 1302s Beetle (bought that for its reconditioned engine which I put in the red one. Engine is held on the gearbox by only 4 bolts. Both cars had to be jacked up the get the engines out underneath.
4. Escort XR3i (boy racer) LHD bought that export from Denmark to Norway. Sold to another expat.
5. Metallic black (diamond Schwartz) BMW 520i LHD. Exported from Denmark to Norway, then imported to the UK Tax free. Arrived in Newcastle from Bergen on a Friday evening and the customs man for some reason didn't want me to pay the import tax and gave me all the necessary paperwork.
7. Metallic copper Mazda RX7. Won that on a 10pound bet and sold it for 3.5k a month later.
6. Yellow Beetle 1302s LHD Norwegian local car drove from Oslo to Bergen where I sold it when I left. Didn't want to buy new summer tyres so pulled all the studs out the winter tyres with a pair of pliers. Took a whole day for 4 tyres. When needs must and to save a few squid, we do stupid things......LOL
7. Metallic green Landrover discovery 3 door tdi. Export from UK to Denmark (was working there at the time).
8. Metallic black Landrover discovery 5 door 300tdi LHD. Bought that 18months after the green one. Export Scandinavian spec to import to Norway. Fortunately when I took the green one back to the UK and went to pay the import tax, due to a cock up with paperwork managed to import that back tax free. I knew the rules in Norway so was able to import the black one tax free. Kept it for 3 years and sold it there for more than I paid for it.
9. Went to work in Monaco and bought my parents Peugeot 405 estate. Actually a nice quiet car. Got local insurance and then when I left scrapped it.
10. Metallic sliver Merc 190E local French car. Had that at the same time as the Peugeot.. A damned good car and was sad to see it go. Engine was very powerful for 2.0L. Installed a nice Alpine stereo. Had all the seats n carpets out to plumb it all in nicely.
11. Red Mazda 6 and Blue Mazda MX5 rag top in Australia. MX5 was 2lites of go karting fun. Paddle gear change and Bose stereo. Def would get another one of those.
12. metallic green Toyota Rush in Singapore. small (but tardis like) SUV ideal for Singapore. 1600cc.

But since you asked, I used to have (in order of appearance):

1. Old James Captian 200cc. I used to ride over the military ranges at Pirbright. Got chased by many an MP in a Landrover. Broke down once so pushed it across the no-mans land area behind the ranges to get home. Although they were firing at the time and I heard the occasional zzzooom of passing bullets, I arrived home safely. Yes indeed very stupid but at 14, it was more exciting than anything. Of course I wouldn't do it again..... :-)
2. Casal (Portuguese) Moped-Sort of orangey
3. Husqvarna 250 MotoX-Red
4. Bultaco Pursang MotoX-Blue
5. Yamaha XT500 (500 single trailbike. (Engine fired at every lamppost). Rode that to Spa-Francorchamps to watch my then idol Barry sheen race. Even got to ride round the circuit after the racing- White, red n black. Friend with me had a black Suzuki 750GT water-cooled 2 stroke triple.
6. Honda CX 500 (water cooled 90deg v twin) Red. Problems with the water pump seal located at the back of the engine and driven by the cam shaft. Had to remove the engine, and back cover to get it out. Pressed the new one back in using a socket as a drift.
7. BMW K100RS Red took that to Norway and rode over the mountains from Oslo to Bergen in the Snow....Brrrrr. Interestingly I bought that export from BMW Park Lane in 1986. I sold it back to BMW Guildford in 1986. The sales guy who sold me the bike in Park Lane was the same one who bought it back from me in Guildford....scary or what. He didn't remember me till I showed him all the paperwork.
8. BMW R1150R. Had that in Australia.
9. Now I only have my bicycles (Giant carbon, Canyon Carbon (6.5kgs) and an old Gary Fisher Joshua XO full suspension mountain bike (from 1998).

Never been to the Isle of Man, but one place def on my bucket list. Especially to ride around the circuit.

One would think so. It seems no one is interested. They still don’t trust the bod or believe the announcements with so much misleading information announced during the last few years. I mean why else are there not more investors buying, but instead selling.

Hopefully iis will too. They’ve had plenty of time to get in, so no reason for them to be thinking of jumping on board now. That’s if some have not already and those, I’m sure, will wait it out given the amount that they may have invested.

I wonder if there is any progress on row licenses and what’s happened to Macau. Shouldnt we have news on that by now ?

He may be the chairman, but whatever happens to him will not effect sales. The SP may drop a little, but its already heavily discounted and I cannot see it going below any previous lows, even if things did turn out bad for him. The now expired arrest warrants (issued several times in the last few years) for him in South Korea didn't appear to have had any effect.

Most inventors now are just waiting on sales unless you are trying to allude that people will not by the product cos of the JM effect.... :-)

Seems to be some erratic dates for the mid-term announcements:

2012 = Jun 11 Mon
2013 = Jul 5 Fri
2014 = Aug 18 Mon
2015 = Jul 13 Mon
2016 = Jul 21 Thur
2017 = Jul 28 Fri

Not much to be gained there apart from: Will there be an announcement by Mid August which could land on a Mon ?

I’m not putting the blame on JG, what I was alluding to was. Is he not part of the Bod. And don’t they decide what’s to be invested in ? And would it not seem that they maybe were advised into agreeing to the investment just like FFWD. I wonder if the bod of both companies would have invested if JM was not involved ? I Guess it was a red flag when the DBC missed their milestones. Lucky our BOD took the decision not to make that last payment or maybe They were advised not to ;-)

So def egg on JM's face and a lot on JG and the BOD for being yes men. Correct me if I'm wrong, but that's 3mill in total loss to the company. I think the BOD should put some money back into RPG for choosing a red herring....

Not sure why you posted the ref to the FFWD AR since nearly the exact same thing is written in the RPG AR. Just in ours the impairment loss is1.875mill USD. !!!

Matt. That is correct. The post was probably deleted since I referred to an email. I have noticed that this has happened before. Action plan now is to:
1. Modify posts to exclude the word email and revise as if it's a post rather than an email.
2. Before I click on "post", copy whatever Ive written and save as a txt file for reposting in the event that the post is deleted.
