Thanks crushcut finally someone instigating a stand always valued, In my opinion, as a previous director at least you appeared to have the shareholders interests at heart back in the day which is why I originally invested
I wonder if Hugh Mackay has any shares left sometimes
I’m tired of coming up with excuses for these guys. More should be expected and they appear to drag situations out far beyond the timelines expected. Probably to give their job roles purpose whilst taking a generous salary. Why on earth would they only know so close to the expiration date of the licence at inishkea what the potential farminees were looking for in terms of data, surely this has come up before over the past 5 years? Kicking the can
Why have they left this to the last minute. They must have known this was one of the reasons to attract the potential partners years ago I doubt this has only just come to their attention.
Hopefully we I’ll get the answer in the next 3 months, then I can stop checking on a daily basis and move on with my life with a tough lesson learnt over 12 years.
Didn’t
Government did sign off the transfer in time I think
I hope not VernetLes. There is so much more potential from Wressle it will be a sad day to let go of our best asset. UNLESS, a farm out for Inishkea was on the cards and the funds were required quickly.
Thanks Serif. Interesting that Egdon would handover operatorship of Cloughton just before takeover though
I’m a little naive to how a takeover actually works if that were the case. Is it that the bidding party make an offer to the bod and shareholders and then a vote is made as to whether that is excepted?
It’s a good point. Does the licence just require drill confirmation by December with the ability of having the funds in order to fulfill the requirements or does EOG need to actually drill by this point?
@Leigh I can’t help but feel what else can the Irish government do but allow drilling of new prospects which I think was a sticking point in regards to the farm out? The UK will be reliant on Ireland in the worst case and appears to be a 2 way street. I maybe reading this wrong but Eamon Ryan’s confirmation of the need for gas moving forward is a big step in my eyes. I’m open to the opposite opinion.
How can Ireland possibly sit on potential reserves and sign an agreement to the uk not to counter supply gas in the event of a cut off without drilling further?

New gas deal signed by uk and Ireland. whilst it focuses on renewables surely Ireland have to focus on supporting this! Very interesting

What is Stephen Williams doing and what is he taking? Things need to be brought into question here. I don’t see a buy back happening because the people on the payroll like the comfort of still getting paid in harder times if they arrive
Fair enough I’m getting BOC salary confused with SO and the previous accounts director. Will must be on a fair whack for seemingly nothing. Point is it appears to be a bit of a club where they run for a couple of years and then bail out once it’s been rinsed. Overpaid in my opinion given the performance and issuing themselves options along with the paycut. Can anyone advise the benefits in terms of being an operator of a licence as apposed to a partner?
In his own words BOC came out of retirement just for Inishkea! and the couple of hundred grand a year for not doing alot obviously.
So what’s to stop the Vermillions of this world waiting so they don’t have to share it then? Would the re-application be even more hassle?
I’m referring to inishkea
Just out of interest , If it gets to January and there is no farmin or Jv will EOG have to relinquish the licence? Then if something changes in the future could another company re-apply for the same licence or is it dead in the water there after?
