I suppose given the prolonged drought of MSC's , one has to make an appraisal of the situation and be grateful for what we "appear" to have ...... Its a reasonable assumption that we were something of a last resort as i'm sure we didn't get the gig due to our port security credentials - a condition of the award appears to be ones willingness to recruit and train a couple of hundred locals , work a trial period ( I don’t doubt we did as why else did it take Fowler three months to tell us we were being paid ) ........ and sit out a prolonged contract dispute between our employer and his client ..... entirely at one's own risk .............. I wonder how many of the established port security outfits would have entertained such an arrangement ......../o:

That 20% request is a pipe dream imo ... MPS would be crazy to have GPHA anywhere near the port ..... I’d say the fat cats are more interested in securing their own future than that of the workforce ....MPS nicely wrong footed them when they offered jobs plus training ..........

The notion that releasing ( pre contract) what would ultimately be ambiguous and vaigue numbers will make any difference to the SP is wishful thinking imo .......Fowlers earning projections are demonstrably unreliable ,so anything other than a succinct and unambiguous contract announcement will rightfully viewed as more bull$hit...........as we all know if he has something to shout about he generally does ..........|o:

My own opinion is GPHA will have to like it or lump it as the MPS contract will be cast iron...|o:

MPS won’t place any LT contracts until they have visibility / clarity on their own contract ...which it appears they don’t .........

GPHA being the “ complainant “ have since signalled their acceptance of the proposed numbers ..... as Jimzi pointed out it will be in all parties interests to implement the revisions ASAP thus paving the way to completion of contracts .....|o:

Could still be in placing territory early Q1 imo - If our on account payments are invoiced 30 days EOM ....... 21k TEUs scanned in July , stab in the dark assuming 50% of monthly terminal volume in August of circa 40k units gives 60k units up to end of August , 60k at Mike’s £6.86 = circa £400k due ..... would we have went cap in hand for the lolly ASAP or will it fall in to end of October payment run ....|o:

Reading between the lines I suspect MPS were legally entitled to introduce the proposed tariff increases ... and I’d wager they would have pushed them through had the ministry of transport not stepped in ....the 10 day window in between the AGM statement and the attached link came from left field imo and screwed the anticipated completion timelines .....IMO
