Silver has just broken through the $17 mark - if this can hold it is a very significant pivot point.

I’m pretty disappointed as well as there was obviously a leak that I chose to ignore - can’t really see why they need the money. I will reserve judgment until the price is announced but the drop does not bode well. AIM gets you every time.

Director is perfectly able to buy if negotiations are ongoing but not resolved. I always consider Director buying to be a positive.

Hi dimi - silver over $17 is a pivot point for us so fingers crossed. You might also want to have a quick look at Resolute (RSG) - getting a listing tomorrow but you can buy stock now - not suggesting you do not add to FRES a very solid stock just suggesting that RSG might be a good punt MC about £1 billion. I know you will of course DYOR.

Flight to safety well underway and why not? Today could well be $1500 gold marking a very significant milestone. Anything under £7.50/£8 is very cheap, we will be back at that level soon - world class asset.

I think a bid is extremely unlikely but as all holders are down any bidder who has purchased shares in the last 12 months would be required to offer more than their highest purchase price. Zero chance of a £500 million bid ever being made or accepted.

Good point Poker every time they sell someone buys - I just can’t believe that someone is not building a significant holding in the background - I also think Big V will take all this shorting personally and he has the cash and the connections to make a difference just as soon as he is ready.

Made strong money here in the past seriously tempted below £4 - it’s really only the general downturn in the oil services sector that is holding me back. Solid company with committed and invested BOD - the SFO dropping this case or a face saving deal seems most likely outcome to me but the longer I wait the cheaper it gets.

As I own over 80,000 shares here making me over £80k down, I have taken a moment to review my buying decisions. Whilst not in the least happy about where I find myself I am ‘happy’ with the process of deciding to buy and add at each stage - I fully appreciate that when faced with the losses I am accumulating that is a fairly stupid statement but it makes me feel slightly better to accept that it is the shorters that are controlling this share and when they finally exit then I will benefit. I have held off adding as with a large holding averaging £4 ish unless I add a lot it does not significantly benefit my average, however, at some point this will change and I will seriously rethink a large investment if the price falls much below £3 as has been suggested and feels quite likely. I do not foresee selling any as the fundamentals of this share are significantly better than the SP would indicate. GLA

Of course Poker - no solution is easy given the wasted 2 years we have all been forced to endure. I suppose my point is we are leaving or the Conservative party is finished so assuming they don’t want that to happen they have to come up with something that changes the story. No resolution is easy which makes all about as difficult as each other. We talk of the 27 but we only really deal to any large degree with 3 or 4 and the decision maker is Germany with France making noise in the background. Whatever happens most of us here will be largely unaffected but I still have hope that a deal will be achieved - the EU team will have failed just as much as U.K. if they cannot find a route to an orderly exit but exit we must.

With all due respect Poker - I am pretty well up to speed perhaps you could consider taking the blinkers off for a moment. IDS is a keen advocate of moving straight to a trade deal just because EU and May chose one road doesn’t mean that there are not others to follow. Absolutely no reason that we could not bypass an interim arrangement and move straight to a free trade deal.

Hi dimi - I believe the supply of silver to be almost limitless so it is the efficiency with which it can be mined that is the most important factor. I believe the link between gold price and silver is effectively broken. FRES still manage to produce a lot of gold which underpins its value - we need silver trading at over $17 to see significant uplift in our profits - at our current SP we remain a very strong buy.

The recent RNS indicates that this will be officially listed on main market on the 9th August - let’s hope that the poor 3p spread will be significantly improved at that point. I have added a number of these shares in anticipation that once properly listed the SP can properly benefit from recent market events. From my initial research this seems like a great opportunity. As I still hold a fairly significant 100k shares I remain interested in the fate of ACA - by my calculation we should be trading at around £2.43 based on the ABX SP. I don’t really understand the discount but there will a price at which I will have to start adding. I have noticed the digs about MTRO and although *****y they are probably deserved - not my best call so far although my average is below £4 and if I was looking at the market cold today I would be a buyer. Doing very well on FRES, RSG so gold (together with cash) continues to be my main play - INDV remains my stand out favourite and MTRO hurting the most but as I am not selling I remain confident that it will come good.
