As the process goes on and on I admit that I forget some stuff. I realise that ABDX have been caught up in the Bethell/GLP case where it has been suggested ABDX were given the original antibody order without due process - some kind of fraudulent preference which is disputed. I have also read here that the actual test was not that great but I can’t actually remember if that was just hearsay or deramping or was based on some actual fact, would someone be able to remind me? My question is can anyone clarify the actual status of the ABDX test where we were contracted to produce at least 25%? Can I assume that this test (modified or original) is one of those under evaluation? How has the note provided to us by Okehurst (many thanks) changed from its original design/procedural requirements?

I will try one more time. The ex div date is the 30th so any shares bought on the 30th will count and shares sold on or before close of play on the 30th will not count. The 30th is one day before the record date which is the 1st October.

Almost zero chance that ODX will require a placing - strong cash position.

Obviously TW is correct and we probably have all suffered BUT my experience would probably push me more in the direction that a positive CEO is often proven correct and a negative CEO is trying to let you down gently before bad news lands. I don’t think that with hindsight Colin has done everything right but I still believe he is honest and would not deliberately mislead investors.

There is of course that happy place where all stakeholders interests collide. Could it finally come to pass that the manufacturer of the best device is finally able to sell tests in a pandemic, certainly been a long tome coming but when news lands……

Sorry Jubbly, we can agree that we will receive significant orders from others and I still hold in anticipation of the day when our biggest problem will be how we can increase production (obviously above the 100m anticipated) to satisfy demand. ATB

Well personally I happen to believe that the actual orders we receive from the DHSC will exceed the provisional indication of upto £374m that we currently hold. Your money your call.

For the avoidance of doubt extract from RNS of 2nd September,

‘The Board established a new dividend policy based on an ordinary dividend with a 2.5 times dividend cover in 2020. The Board was delighted to resume dividend payments with the declaration of an interim dividend of 7.5 pence per share in February 2021 and is pleased to recommend a final dividend of 21.9 pence per share (2020: nil pence per share). Subject to shareholder approval, the final dividend will be paid on 9 November 2021 to those shareholders on the register as at the close of business on 1 October 2021. The total proposed ordinary dividend for 2021, including the interim dividend of 7.5 pence per share paid in May 2021, is 29.4 pence per share (2020: nil pence per share; 2019: 29.1 pence per share).’

So if you hold shares at close of play on 30th you will get the dividend - this will include any shares you acquire on the 30th. ATB.

We actually you need to buy before close of play on the 30th to be entitled to the dividend - if you sell before then you certainly will not get any.

I see no contradiction. A test will be required - the buyer gets to pick - only fair as they will be paying. We are ready, HMG already shown their hand by helping to fund our development and naming us as one of the 3. We will sell all that we can produce and Okehurst is right with LFT’s in the news every day it will not be long now.

Certainly interesting, perhaps we should all read the AVCT board in addition to this one although I don’t think I personally have the stomach for it, perhaps those invested in both will keep us abreast. In relation to the information obtained I struggle to find anything that we did not know. Most of us read the contract at the time it was published and debated the facts that it was potentially for a total of £345m but that it might not actually be taken up and could be cancelled at any time. Many of us felt that this was a very loose arrangement but we were hardly in a position to demand anything else. It does not however change the fact that we are one of the 3 companies that have been identified as the intended recipients of the LFT contracts when they do materialise. We know that for a time ODX we’re waiting for DHSC/HMG to identify a product to manufacture and we believe that we, at their instigation, have been cassetting for SureScreen and our own product is well advanced in achieving home use approval here and in Europe together with professional use in the USA. As we are invested we believe that there is a need for high quality LFT and we believe we are best placed to manufacture them. Nothing has changed we will sell all that we can produce. Hold hard and don’t get blindsided after waiting soo long.

Chris, I think you are being a little harsh, my biggest problem with the Tesla tweet was that it was made at about 10pm on a Friday night.

Flashy, I to am weary of the tweeting, it led to me rasping adding a lot of shares in the 90’s but I actually like their latest attempt. They did not name the company they were working with on the 7th - I think they have identified that NDA’s are in operation but I cannot swear to it, the latest tweet clearly makes the link. The ups and downs of the SP really mean nothing at this point traders will have done well but they take additional risk of missing the big one. I agree with TWatcher that HMG have multiple things in play and I believe it is their attempts to get their ducks in a row that have sometimes led to us, and ODX getting overexcited. Going forward I see very clear signals that the British diagnostics industry is now coming into its own and front and centre of that will be ODX. I still hope that our own test jumps all the final hurdles get all the approvals we are waiting for and fully expect a massive RNS to land.

Hi Flashy, I don’t really see you problem with this. They announced on 7 June that we were undertaking active rites but were presumably not allowed to mention Surescreen now that I for has been made public we allow the connection to be made without breaching any NDA. The advance payment will have been utilised to offset our charges. That’s all great and the workforce has not been sitting idle but when we get the RNS that we are producing 2m tests per week we will jump especially if those are our own tests.
