Got to agree with the more experienced investors below, 100% of your cash in one company seems like a gamblers choice. (but it's your money). I totally argee with you but on the other side of the argument,if you have a portfolio of lets say 30 companies you are guaranteed of always being in the red with several at any given time.If investing was easy everybody would do it.Then again let Neill woodford do it for you and then the same result.Life is a gamble.

XOM, was meant to be $100 and now $60

upomega,you can lose money on any investment as I am sure you know.I worked for EXXON MOBIL for 28 years.5 years ago their shares were over £100/share and now they are just over £60.What goes up comes down.I sold out of XOM a few years back as the tax on the divis at source in US (15%) was too much.I am into BP. and RDSB for the divi which is good but am currently well down on both.My belief is that they will both come good ,you need patience.

is what percentage of revenue/profit comes from the filling stations.----------------------How long is a piece of string?.BP, being an oil major and by that definition is vertical integrated meaning it is involved in all aspects of the game from exploration-production--refining selling and chemicals.It sells to itself therefore controls its own prices .It balances profits/losses throughout the whole chain to balance out the whole BP. outfit.This is why when prices are really low it can take the pain for a long time.Don't know if this answers your question.

I myself made that calculation 2 weeks ago and bought £3000 worth at 174.4 but it has still continued to fall sharply. If I was minded to invest I would first wait for the dividend cut before jumping in. I personally do not think they will go bust but it seems likely that debt will increase which can further depress the share price.

Timing is everything here.As the sage of Omaha says (Buffet) it's time in the market.Rumour is a powerful thing, Brent crude has lost $14/barrel this month due to the corona virus.I am not it inferring that it is not serious but the market loves panic or excitement because it overreacts.The only possible problem with SGZ would might be another short delay which is not a problem at all.

The gloomy Hon. Basil (Mark 1) will be going back in disgrace to Benidorm in March for 3 weeks.When you get to my age excitement is like going for a pee, it comes in dribbles and does not last long.Benidorm is not for everyone but it's close, cheap enough and helps my old bones.
