Next year BP hope to be profitable at $35/barrel.Who else can live with that? not the Saudi's that's for sure.They need oil in the 80's to balance the budget.Most national oil companies are the same.BP is in a very good place here.

Just keeping you right Dagger Mal.The divi is generally paid straight into your account.NOW, me being with the stone age Halifax, the divi shows up as being paid but usually takes about another week until it shows up in my account.

I would pay of the mortgage but if I had £750k worth the debt at 8% and I could borrow at 3% I would borrow and pay .

So you are trading back and forth, therefore the Divi is not a priority to you and should be cut.I would imagine that Looney knows the business a lot better than the media and quite possibly yourself..There are a lot of people who rely on the Divi for their own income.Removing a Divi should not be done on a whim to suit the mood of the day.

Bananaman2,A very fine concept indeed but it does not meet economic expectations.It is easy to extract hydrogen from water but the cost is prohibitive..The energy in energy out is much against it.
