Cononish at best will chug along for it's lifespan.It will earn it's keep and pay the wages but will it earn enough to put the sp through the roof?.There should be enough local knowledge now to keep the malfunctioning plant limping along to produce something.The next r n s will show a few hundred ounces at least.

Good afternoon Morar. Remember that the dicussion yesterday was about doubling the mine life which would in turn double the spoil to about 1 million tonnes.It's kind of hard to juggle that amount of spoil around waiting for the end of mine life.

''BBB, as Eck says a lot of the spoil can go underground as in a previous mine plan.''Morar ,I recollect that plan. Unlike coal mines.99.9% of the spoil from gold,shale and diamond mines remains onsite.It is un feasible to replace the spoil when the mine is working therefore the spoil would have to build up during the life of the mine and extremely costly to do it at end of mine life.They might dump a few % of spoil back underground but it would be no more than that. If SGZ were serious about it it would have been costed in already and put on the back burner.

If the life of Cononish is doubled the the amount of spoil will be doubled with all the new planning that goes with it.Not an easy task.
