I you think for half of one second USA is negotiating on behalf of Ukraine you really have some issues.

USA has stated it backs Ukraine's position. The Russian's will be told directly the support will expand to new missile systems and will not abate. Russia will be tole to leave Ukraine and hand over individuals for trial for war crimes.

I wouldn't get too hung up on gold market price. Few actually pay that and it is most likely POLY will supply under a fixed price or relative price contract. All these commodity prices are indexes, not shelf price.

I'm off my 400 for mid November despite the withdrawal on several fronts. The withdrawals so far are more tentative retreats than a full repeal. So I have to wait for a bit longer for the retreats to be turned into the full inevitable withdrawal. We'll get there and it will be quick when it happens. The various factions will be assessing the impact on public opinion of the Kherson retreat and gauging the appetite to quickly end it.
