How can one seat class be using 8 times more 'sustainable' fuel than another? Does a business cabin really take up the same space as 8 economy seats and as for the weight difference between 1 occupier in business and 8 in economy. And then what about all the other weight difference, 1 drink v 8! Now this is important because eventually governments will move in advance of the airlines to add more 'green' levies which will have no relation to actual 'carbon footprints' but will be related solely to how much tax or charges can be raised for the vanity projects of climate change.

As a margin, profit may be higher, but as cash flow it is lower. A number of people are saying with all the opening up there will be more cash coming in and therefore RI recedes as the revenue offsets debt. So that news of withdrawing flights is not looking too good on the revenue generating side.

Well my target was originally 160 by the end of January. The sp hit that on the first trading day, but has been somewhat stuck just a % or two over that since. So I am confident I am estimating the right ballpark for it. For me now is looking for signs that the iis have any sense the credit is a problem and RI is preferred to running the credit. I think the sp still reflects city expectations for the results and more removal of restrictions specifically for IAG won't push it much further. I can only see +/- movements due to trading heat. So a big gamble whether to buy-in risking being hit with an RI, or no RI and better than expected results during omicron phase. So all pax numbers and airport data is critical. As is the slow expansion of the number of transatlantic routes which seems to be somewhat less than originally promised by this stage. So still staying out at the moment. Risk is too high for me atm.

Everybody I know across media and within political parties are all saying the same thing. Everybody is in a deep hole with restrictions that are clearly having absolutely no effect outside critical areas such as hospital ICU and similar, but if they are suddenly withdrawn the questions on why they were there in the first place will be deafening, and the questioning is from the people. News desks are being inundated with complaints about the media being half the problem by reporting on the pandemic as if it was as serious today as at the start or during the delta peak. So the eradication of the restrictions will be phased for no other reason as to make it look like the situation allows for it. It seems to be the same all over the world, nobody out on the street except the dwindling minority of naysayers believes anything coming out of their respective governments or advisory committees. Some UK 'experts' already becoming defensive about why they only gave the worst possible scenario to ministers. I suspect as their work is study in more depth over time, there are going to be some reckonings with the expert community. Meanwhile the deep hole remains and we just have to wait for review after review pulling back restrictions that are simply doing nothing.

livestock, the way the pandemic policies have been unravelling having been exposed by omicron [expert modelling, mask wearing being useless, transmission control not working, vanity, vanity, vanity] and the fact the pandemic has followed the same trajectory now as all the other big ones before, add into that the extent of backlash against restrictions which has been getting more and more violent all over the planet despite deliberate under reporting, I would be surprised to see any meaningful restrictions anywhere around the world by summer with almost all gone by spring. And if a new variant does come along, I think so much of the truth will be out that little in the way of restrictions would imposed again. In future it will be have the booster, regular annual or in response to a particular variant, or take your chances with the virus. Omicron has well and truly exposed the expert community as political motivated and riddled with the vanity variant meaning they are unable to absorb another's results and will only accept what they in their little group are seeing. It is happening now all over the place with countries still chasing the spread of omicron despite all previous peak zones not having their health systems over whelmed, or even close. It is over but for a lot of people it is hard to let go. Next variant, the public are better informed ans will simply not tolerate reimposing restrictions.

interesting bobin, I have steered clear of GB news because of the way it was described as some ultra-right wing conspiracy theorists dream land. But I have read a couple of bits from it recently and it seems as wide ranging in output as a spread of newspapers but not following too close the woke narrative of the main broadcasters. But it has people with views and with that piece being completely against the mainstream I can't see how GB news will ever get a prime time main terrestrial TV news slot. ITN often links up with other outlets, but I can't see it happening with GB News. Same for Ch4 news. The BBC is just a lefty closed shop so definitely no out let there. Pity because when issues like this are argued in this way it allows the feckless ministers who are so easily led by whatever the TV gods narrative is to have an alternative narrative, an alternative argument and therefore not introduce policies that can turn out to be so distructive.

.... but then I saw the news outlet, GB news. This 'opinion' is completely different from the 'mainstream' media and one I think many people would align with if they were exposed to it. Today this is the narrative for covid restrictions, tomorrow with any luck it will be the exact same for the climate change damage to lives and the environment.

I've been saying the exit from the pandemic maybe a messy one. The experts are not going to let go of their new found powers so easily and are trying to keep the pandemic going as long as they can. Some advisors are going to have to be bluntly sacked. They gave those gongs away too early.

Wood, however, it is good to by hundreds of thousands of shares at a tenth of a penny and allow yourself to dream they'll hit a couple of pounds a few months later... I enjoy the daydream... you never know. But, if all I get is a 14 piece bargain bucket out of it by summer time, it will have still been worth it.

I've taken a small sub grand punt in one of the one shore oil and gas minnows, UKOG. Dodgy history with excessive claims of billions of barrels of oil in the past. However, with the gas crisis and potential conflict disrupting supplies further, I am betting there will be a move to free up UK gas extraction to make up some loss of supply, maybe even free up fracking. Whilst the climate change lobby have their absolute hysterics center stage at the moment, the reality of the need for gas looking forward even just 10 years and the threat to non-indigenous supply I think will result in a major overhaul of policy very soon. So I've grabbed half a million shares with fingers crossed the UK government will go all indigenous and move to stop the bad planning decisions and help the sector suddenly grow.
