If Spain wants to insist on a POS levy then it needs to tell IAG to delist and list on the Spanish exchange where it an apply the additional levy and collect it within the Spanish jurisdiction.

Fine, it is Spanished owned. But the transaction is in the UK. Spanish law does not apply in the UK. No foreign law can apply within the UK. LSE rules state, 'English law applies' which is the same for all transactions within the UK. There is no provision within English law for the Spanish to levy a sales tax within the UK and oblige the vendor to collect the tax. This POS levy is not enforceable on the LSE. It needs to be challenged with a judicial review.

OK. So Stilton cheese maker decides to levy a 0.25% sales tax on all Stilton made in the UK at point of sale in Italy. What would Italy say? They would ignore it. The UK based Stilton company has no legal right to impose a POS tx and the Italians have no obligation to collect it. IAG shares traded in London, the POS, can not have some random tax placed on that sale by an overseas government. I am sure this needs to be tested in law and there is no legal argument to allow a foreign to impose a POS tax within the UK and force the collection. Otherwise, this becomes open ended and we would be liable for thousand of new taxes with a major administrative nightmare trying to collect them all on behalf of dozens and dozens or different countries.

I still think it is illegal for a Spanish tax to be levied on a UK territory purchase. What next, French sales tax every time a supermarket in the UK sells a bottle of French wine. I am certain collection of the tax is unenforceable. Where is the representation?

It is remarkably difficult to find a full list of companies [excluding AIM] that are stamp duty free. But here are some. I was checking for Wizz Air, which I may switch too for day trading as IAG is too slow and Wizz has one of the largest drops to make up to pre-war levels. Although I am also considering splitting the pot between stocks. This list is incomplete though and I can't verify its accuracy. I anybody has a better list, please post.

There are many able to challenge the claims but are kept well suppressed. You have to remember the money involved now. Trillions. A great deal if unconscious protection is set up. Reputations to protect. Well established belief systems. Herd instinct. And, mass hysteria. Evident leading up to cop26. Anybody who was to publicly challenge the narrative is rapidly torn down and ostracised. Poor old David Bellamy. To be labelled 'a denier' is career suicide. So a lot of people go with flow and keep their heads down. Back in the early naughties a number of academics were 'purged'. The Putin Russia situation is a perfect analogy. Why does no one challenge him when he is so blatantly wrong? Why do the military carry out his orders when it is do wrong? Why doesn't somebody within Russia stand up and stop him? Media goes a long with it and becomes as complicit. And when people do make an opposing noise, they are removed and silenced. A very similar thing has happened with the climate change lie.

The groups working in climate science are a closed shop. They verify each other's work and keep outsiders at arms length. It's how the hockey stick graph managed to get through and remain cited for years. It is why major errors in the most basic physics was requoted for years, sea level already displaced because the ice is already in it. The bottom line is climate science made models that didn't come true, so they bought bigger computers, and then even bigger ones and all the time they still can't get the models to recreate historic data, not least because real world data is so heavily processed it bears little relation to real world, averages with environmental weighting to fit the narrative. No conspiracy, just a huge unreported list of direct challenges that wipe the floor with just about every claim made. It is why media is so defensive. They have promoted the hell out of it to such an extent the lie is so big and the hole so deep it has to be kept going. We live in a world full of lies. Bug ones too, and this one is about to cost everybody heavily.

Peer review often breaks down, remember the science wars with the physicists getting social science papers published which were made up using random paragraphs from articles! Furthermore, in the climate science world, the referees are often involved in the research and much of publications is not independently checked or verified, something discovered following the climate gate tapes. Climate science is not conducted in the same manner as the other sciences, it is one of the critical issues which has resulted in so much utter crap being passed off as 'scientific' fact. It isn't and there are no independent checks.

sadly, scientists these days have funding as the priority and follow the research grants. There's no money available to challenge the narrative or consensus. And a lot of scientists also use the platform to implement political opinion. many are little politicians using an outdated implicit trust in their integrity and will frequently draw on the raw scientists without agendas to cover themselves with apparent trust. 'green' scientists are generally following Marxist philosophy like green party politics. As ever, follow the money.

This is not some tree hugging hippie protest rally fantasy. Its the law! And all across the western world too. And all just a few years away. Net zero targets must be abandoned, propr independent non media led scrutiny of climate change claims at the international court for justice must be started immediately and the basis of the world economy running of hydrocarbons accepted as a reality that ain't going away for some decades to come.
