It's BAE systems (90% probability). Government has a golden share to stop foreign takeover. So merger or takeover can be done. It might be an indication RR is in trouble with the slow patchy role out from covid given most of it's income is from servicing. I expect those who buy in at the new price are in for a shock as there will be nothing hostile and BAE should get a much cheaper price.

Update on RR for close price very late, 17:14. This is what I was talking about earlier, iis money coming back in. Entering back into the large swings again. How many holders did not have time to cash in? I would expect high volumes Monday. Something was affecting the sector earlier and I posted. There is the big strategic energy review next week, either it is leaked the micro reactors are a large part of the mix or there is heavy speculation they are in and a business is taking a very large position, will be seen. I expect others in the sector will see these spikes as big money moves back in in big blocks rather than increments.

That sudden change in oil price after a range of articles being published commenting on the price reducing has all the hallmarks of a large ii getting burned. Unlike equities, commodities don't have many lose canon pis throwing money around irrationally. That spot price has been forced, possibly by a supply line deliberately spooking the market with a ii covering it to keep the price up until a contract is cleared or some such. Costs a lot of money to manipulate commodities. Ask Mr Leeson.

It's correcting up at the moment. The correction has happened. And Russia's new world order fell apart within 24rs when it had to announce it would accept gold for payment abandoning the ruble scheme. It is actually losing the war in Ukraine, is not getting back up from China and nato is lining up forces all along the border ready to go in. Russia has been written off many balance sheets and the losses easily absorbed by most, even if they get nothing for any tangibles on the ground.

The future's bright, the future's orange. We just hope it is not a blindingly bright orange ball rising up into a mushroom cloud!

The sector seems to have bottomed out again as oil seems to have topped out. There are a lot of talks, deals, back room and manoeuvers going on. The market waits to see what the general 'plan' will look like most likely emerging over the weekend. With a plan for fossil fuels, Russian cutting supplies, standing orders to respond to an attack on nato, a 'trajectory' of opposition being confirmed in Putin's inner circle and other strands, with all that forming a forward narrative, then the money moved out of stocks will return. And it will be quick.

Flies in the ointment are China reverting to trying to control the spread of a virus when most of the world is switching to living with covid. Even NZ is opening up!

Another one of the great frauds of our time. All corals bleach as the algae that creates the colour is shed and new algae grows back. The claim here is this only sated happening in the 1990s, which is a straight lie. Bleaching is a 100% natural phenomena that has gone on as long as reefs have existed. The irony with this one is the Pacific is actually on a cold cycle so this bleaching can not be due to false sea warming. This is a classic example of environmentalist claims that are not correctly challenged and scrutinized at a scientific level which become entrenched to such an extent nobody is prepared to question and challenge and so the lie rolls on year after year and pockets bulge ever bigger with more billions handed over to the liars, fraudsters, chats and charlatans.

The big spike news to come is US announcing end of preflight testing. I've averaged down more this morning and looking at a profit take zone of 143. I expect oil to crash below 100 as announcements are made about upping supply around the world to replace Russian oil as countries like Germany announce they will take a small economic hit rather than rely on Russia.

I read a piece this morning that Russia will accept gold and crypto for oil payment. No big surprise with that as nobody could figure out how paing it roubles could work. Sorry, didn't note the ref.
