I speculated few days ago ceasefire on religious holiday. I got fingers burnt here because I expect Russian quick ingress into Donbas and then before going all out war Putin would stop, point at his mighty army and say last chance, having the west try and push Ukraine settlement. But instead he just tried to keep going , met total resistance and quickly resorted to medieval brutal tactics with the whole campaign descending into a complete mess.

Will he make the same mistake twice or will he push as hard and deep for a couple of days and then use a religious day to sue for a genuine peace?

I think he is very bruised and battered and is boxed in to sue for a quick peace. The land corridor can be a wide road/rail link with maybe a couple of heavily pro Russian towns to Crimea. Ukraine will have to let Crimea go which has been obvious from 2014 I think. For Donbas, it will be down to referendum to join Russia, stay with Ukraine or become semi-autonomous regions. A each day goes by, Putin's bargaining hand diminishes. And Ukraine is getting tooled up with more weapons to the point it is thinking of winning a war Putin an not fund for much longer.

I stopped watching the evening news years ago as it is just the propaganda arm of the politically correct anti UK, anti male, anti white, pro EU movement.
I listen to he today prog s it is hilarious when they go off on one trying to force some hapless minister to concede water runs uphill and never down. I get all my nws from a global news feed service that includes the entire spectrum without filtering or editing.

Leading questions are legend and you can construct some apparently convincing news pieces. But looking more closely and body language reveals all. The single mum was pivoting on one hip nervously and the words were a little staggered indicating she didn't actually understand what the question was really about was compelled to say something in order to appease the interviewer so as not to seem rude and ego propelled her to perform to be on tele.

I have seen the full breadth of reports from the areas of conflict. One very useful filter is to turn the sound off. Watch the animation of those being interviewed, see how uncomfortable people are when being interviewed by the pro Russian media, compare to the response when the crew is from the west. One thing that stands out, if the interviewer is embraced as a saviour figure or figure of terror. With the Russian media, there is always distance and the arms are up in a defensive barrier. With the western media, the arms are down open and the people happy to have members of the crew move behind them.

Then listen to the dialogue. Russian media constantly leading the answers, intervening to steer the answer, always prompting for a particular narrative and the person interviewed becoming increasingly agitated and nervous they are not performing as directed. With the western interviews, the people speak free without any prompting and show full emotion without the need for any guard.

Then we have the interviews with the clean shaven well groomed expensive clean clothes young men who are supposed to have been sheltering on meager rations telling the world how Ukrainians are supposed to have been bombing him and his family until the Russians liberated them on day 8. Yeah, right. You had enough water to groom yourself but not to drink? Good skin for 8 days under ground with little food and water!

We weren't born yesterday. We have decades of this kind of propaganda crap from our own news like the BBC, we know all the tricks.

Yes, as I posted before, all Russian sales of hydrocarbons to the EU will cease, and it is permanent. The economically literate within the Kremlin will know what this means. Whilst slow in execution, it will have a massive long term impact. Putin may retaliate by cutting off all supplies immediately, but places like Germany have been making contingency plans for that. With this, I wonder if the first cracks in the authoritarian regime will now show - media first allowing critics access to air. Will Putin still be in power this time next week? I would not put a fiver on it!

I don't think I have potificated about the company itself at all, oh a few questions thrown out yesterday to garner comments like mentioning leveraged buy-out. I think you will find I comment around the company itself and focus on aggravating factors to do with stuff I do now about and that may or may not affect the sp. I know how much YOU believe you are some great expert in a winning and therefore superior position, but your angry man response shows you are just another angry am gambler trying to get rich quick and failing.
