I think the AGM will be a bit late to announce a split. You expect under any other business such a major policy is presented? And then voted on within the hour or something? The AGM will be standard 'all resolutions were passed'. If there is to be a breakup of the company the terms will have to be published at least a couple of weeks in advance to allow due diligence. Then an extraordinary AGM will be called. At best expect a statement about continuing to explore options.

It is a complete mess for Russia. They are going for the Donbas and land bridge as a face saver. But the top brass know even if they can appear to settle some territory, it will be constantly under attack as it is not internationally recognized. Russia's only hope is having the IN recognise Donbas with some sort of legal status separate from Ukraine. But the west has invested way too much hardware and political changes for that. Russia is therefore going through the motions but is merely tightening the noose around its own neck. Eventually there will have to be a withdrawal from Donbas, maybe by Autumn winter, and Putin will pay being removed. Russia may rise up in the interim if the broadcasters break ranks, but for that a likely Putin successor will have to be known and public.

Except the possibility of being kicked off LSE is alive consideration. This article from last Thursday gives a good balance on th risks.

Oh yes, the auditor. News on who as being lined up will have leaked by now. The silence there is becoming a little deafening.

Fundamentals are one thing. The complication of being thrown of LSE are another. Delisting of any and all companies connected to Russia is my key concern at the moment. Governments don't always make rational discussions remember. I'll sit on the side for now and 'observe'.

The problem is the potential for having money locked-in for a very long time, either due to suspension, delisting, new sanctions, or long term depressed sp due to external factors. Also, the is a subtle change around the narrative I am picking up reading Russian news re 9th May. Less a victory day, more a rallying day.

mm forcing a massive spread again, clearly hey are trying to stop day trading as the few weeks. The effect is to force a general decline in the sp. FCA must step in and instruct the market is allowed freely.

so most of the panic orders cleared, now we will see what direction the market gos for the morning.

If it falls, it will have been a successful spook by the Times. Otherwise, the war enters the start of an end game. Knowing what the steps are to the end as watered down by Russia and the declaration re 9th May, it could be adjudged this is the entry window. BUT, can the sanction regime hold off from poly long enough so war stops first and no escalation of sanctions embraces poly. I am not picking up cause celeb brewing against poly so the Times piece may have been a clever bit of spooking for shorters and spread bet syndicates.
