The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
I’d be quite happy with a 5% gain in the day. Experience tells me, though, that some of it will drain away before CoB.
Patience, patience. It’s a virtue, they say. Just wish I had some…..

We have had worse days! Everything’s pointing towards a good increase over the next week or two or six but I think your £6 in five weeks may be a tad optimistic, Bot! Although if it isn’t……
you could actually buy a P & O ship on the proceeds!
Have a great weekend everyone.

It’s the five senior execs, I think, selling some vesting options. In terms of their overall holdings they are very small numbers and it was all five days ago.
Still, we know how the markets takes any news from Carnival!

Morning Watcher and all,
If there were any logic in this market, I agree that the SP should be, possibly, even higher. One only has to look at the numbers Carnival announce, along with the strategies etc and new ships to ask the question why is the SP down some 30% from where it was mid-December? I appreciate tge external factors, too, but that has meant only two ships being re-routed from the Red Sea. Why hasn’t RCL suffered the same?
One other thing, the Senior Management at Carnival say they are not interested in the share price. That simply cannot be because the shareholders OWN the business. They must have a duty to us, mustn’t they?
Having said all that, I am still hangin’ in there!

Carnival is such a broad-based brand that I think you may all be right. We chanced our arm for a week on Iona. No idea what to expect but we loved it (Arcadia is our favourite and on her for two weeks in July round GB).
Thinking about Iona or Arvia in September.
P & O have always tried hard with compensation for disruption, I think. We got FCC of 125% of cruise cost when we got curtailed just before COVID.

Also announced today that Princess cruises has just taken delivery of the new 175,000 ton, 4,300 passenger, “Sun Princess” from the Italian shipyard, Fincantieri, maiden voyage due 28th February.
More revenue on greater margins, hopefully.
