Just back from lovely cruise on Arvia, able to meet up with sister-in-law in Aix en Provence as well.

Just few bits - who is Kpa1? Nice of them to drop in and raise the tone.

OBC can only be removed at an AGM, I believe, so it is safe until November. Carnival has actually, it seemed to me at any rate, improved its loyalty offering in the US by relating it to spending and allowing it to be used against actual cruise fares. So, maybe that will happen here. It would also help if it were extended to apply to all Carnival brands but that would be fiendishly complicated to administer.

Anyway, the world still turns, if a little more explosively😔. Hasn’t Trump already indicated that the US would not allow the Strait of Hormuz to be closed? Russia and China being their usual multi-faced, selves. They never break international law, do they?

Just in time she realised she need to protect her old man’s modesty so placed a pair of slippers upside down on his lap. The plumber engineer arrived and assessed the situation. He said to the wife, “I have good news and bad news, madam. The good news is that I can release your husband very quickly but the bad news is that I am afraid that the person who has gone in head first is beyond rescue!”

YR, no cruise lines are us in it at present as far as I can tell and cruises to the Middle East have also been curtailed/cancelled.

Others have already said that if Iran true to shut the S of H then USA will re-open it.

Hi all fro La Coruňa on Arvia.

Some sunshine, at last! Lovely ship, absolutely full but doesn’t feel crowded. Service and staff excellent. Booking app works well but events on board do fill up quickly for the popular times. So, just avoid them. Fair number of children for a non-school holiday time - must be cheaper to pay the fine……. Mrs B being extremely well catered for as Coeliac.

Glad yo all had a good time on Independence.

Varies by cruise line, I suspect, P, and possibly even choices on a ship. Bot is THE expert on RCL, though, I sounds like he’ll never have to pay for another cruise in his life! Not my scene, the casino……..
