ONS overall stats for retail Vs Boo you. What, for example, if Boo had an unrepresentative year in 2022 in market terms. Then the stats for 23 become irrelevant

The difference with looking at ONS in isolation is that it is comparing exactly like for like.

Hexam your statement would only be correct if you could accurately size the market over a number of years.

And you also seem to ignore the decision to deprioritise labels Hexam.

Prices were also held to help customers in difficult times, not just to maximise volumes. In theory this should pay off in better brand positioning and increased loyalty in the medium term

Actually Hexam, volume is equally important to me as it is to the ONS, which is why they produce both.

Equally you aren't looking at the effect of Debenhams and the defocus on labels. Merely fixating on one top line figure.

The only graph I can see in the ONS pack is the overall one so could you share the online fashion specific one

If you are, have you even looked at the volume figures, which are significantly down. We know Boo chose not to pass on price rises to help it's customers.

There are two separate things

1. Comparators. Boo's last set of accounts just published were comparing a 2022/3 with 23/24. So COVID was affecting the comparisons still.

2. You trolls keep stating that the online market is growing. You neglect to say that is is growing back to where it was a year or two ago. Therefore the numbers are bound to be lower than they were a year or two ago.

This year the bubble effect is gone imho.

Despite COVID being long gone, it is really handy to keep harking back to it and claiming that four years later, recovery is still ongoing. The excuse that keeps on giving.

So you have no idea how much the online market shrank Hexam, nor do I. What the ONS stats tell us is that during the covid bubble online share of sales went up by 50%, so a significant drop wouldn't be unexpected. But i don't know the answer and neither do you

Boo in one of their recent statements, I can't remember which, stated that their market share had remained static at 8%. This may or may not continue to be the case. Once again i don't know the answer and neither do you.

So why make a statement you can't back up

Napthman, thats not what the accounts are saying. The table states he had exactly the same number of options as he had at the end of 2022 but half the number of actual shares

Hexam, have you conveniently forgotten the commentary in the results about improved performance from core brands in the second half of the last financial year.

This will be partly due to more targetted marketing spend, but also due to the effects of the covid bubble reducing

Uk costs and director fees dropped in 23.

Aus employee costs went up significantly, by c$0.5m. In addition to Troy i'd guess we added a few employees to IOCA. Probably three or four as the accounts state the business has less than ten employees.

Rod still had a significant share holding at the year end and it looks like he has retained all of his options
