I'm guessing they wanted additional funding to accelerate growth and to provide a greater safety blanket. As far as we are aware Frasers only ever offered £125m and we don't know the associated terms. I'd guess one was Ashley joining the BoD

Frasers do seem to have gone quiet and haven't followed through on their threat to Morris as of yet. It may indicate they can see Finley making progress. I don't think Frasers have ever had any intention of making an offer for the whole business. I honestly have no clue about thier intentions. I would hope that at some point they will turn more friendly and seek to relaunch Debenhams in bricks and mortar

What I want to see is a disposal of a brand or two and an even greater focus on Debenhams. I believe Debenhams by itself is already worth way more than the total market cap of the group.

I'd like PLT and potentially Nastygal to go as well.

Medium term there is a good return here, lots of things seem to be happening but the market is tough.
